My Beloved Sports Teams

I am very passionate about my favorite sports teams. Being from NJ I would eat, drink, sleep sports. I worshipped my teams. 2 teams in particular that I love are: The New York Yankees® Being the fan of perhaps the greatest sports franchise of any sport has always given me chills. Now, the Yankees have won 3 straight World Championships and will be vying for their 4th in 2001.

My next favorite team happens to be: The Dallas Cowboys® I've been a fan of "America's Team" since I was a child. Sure, things aren't looking too good for Dallas lately but we've been in more Super Bowls and have tied for the lead in most Super Bowl® victories in the history of professional football. Yes, I've heard thew argument about how I could possibly be a Dallas fan when I live in NJ. Well, the answer is simple really. "Deal!"

Next up happens to be another team that I lived and died with every year during the 90's when they went on their quest for the basketball championship; The New York Knicks® Under coach Pat Riley, the Knicks were a feared basketball team with one of the most ferocious defenses ever to be seen in the history of the game. But alas, they would fall 1 game short of winning a title, much to the chagrin of the many emotionally drained fans of this bridesmaid basketball team.

Which leads me to my final favorite team The Philadelphia Flyers® The former Broad Street Bullies. The Flyers have never been the most exciting hockey team but when I was a kid, my brother Mike worshipped them and I, in turn, got the bug when I started watching the great game of hockey. The Flyers haven't won anything since the 70's and their last visit to the Stanley Cup® Finals was forgettable but I love those guys all the same.

Even now, living in Arizona, my allegiances still remain and I will always remain faithful to the day I drop my body.
