Start + LP + MP + HP (simultaneously)
Keep in mind that this is only a sprite change and that this version of J. Talbain is no different than playing as his normal appearance. This also applies to his ending.
Soul Mode Having the random icon highlighted at the character select screen, input the code below. To select your starting character in this mode, press Start three times on the desired character prior to inputting this code.

In Soul Mode you play as the last character you defeated.
Taking the route the character you initially started with would take, minus the dialouge.
There is no ending in this mode, but a different credits theme. You will not rank for any character scores, although your arcade score will appear having a "?" in place of the character you used.
Special Confrontation Defeat three opponents without losing a round and finish the matches with any EX Move to be challenged by a special computer opponent unique to your character's story.
Fight Oboro Bishamon Oboro Bishamon is the game's true final boss and a difficult one at that. Unfortunately, he is not playable. To gain the right to have your one-time shot at fighting Oboro Bishamon, you must defeat all of your opponents without losing a round and finish every match with one of the specific EX Moves listed below.

Special Ending If you lose to Oboro Bishamon you are immediately given your character's ending and the credits are rolled. Defeating him will grant you the same, however after that you will view a special ending from Capcom. This special ending features various sprites and animations. Anita from NightWarriors makes a cameo appearance.
