Poem of the month for October

WAS POEM OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER!

This is the feature poem of my book, and is by far my favorite poem that I have written, as always I hope everyone enjoys! oh yeah feel free to email me!

Wheel of Time

If I could turn back the wheel
See my life starting from day one
Take back what I no longer feel
And watch where life begun

I see a father in a room awaiting
A baby no longer in its warm womb
In his mind about the baby debating
Now cheers spread throughout the room

The clock spins to see my childhood
I see a woman who gave me birth
What happened I never quite understood
She is buried deep into the earth

What happened I can finally realize
Even looking at it I shed a sad tear
Sobbing away washing out my eyes
What happened to mother is now clear

I see father sitting at a table late night
His gun laid over his leather belt
Repeating to himself "it will be all right"
Now I feel just what he had felt

I hear my scream at the awful sight
This is too much to bare I turn my head
Till this day I still tremble in such fright
For now both my parents are now dead

My aunt sees the tears on my face
My emotions bring tears like rain
She takes me to her own small place
In my head the emotions I couldn't contain

The watch jumps to a memorable holiday
I see a little boy praying to a black sky
Asking Jesus if his family has gone away
This only makes it easier for him to cry

Morning comes and he still lays in his bed
The few gifts lay under the meager tree
Reciting the newly learned bible versus he read
His face pale unlike others that are full of glee

He slowly comes down the small stair case
His aunt wishing him well and very marry
For Christmas morning this was a haunting pace
Her words to him just don't seem to carry

He hands her a small card hand drawn
His aunt shown a glimpse of his mother
The card said now that mommy is gone
You have always loved me like no other

Like his mother tears fell out of eyes of blue
Her sunken heart seems to suddenly lift
Had this boy's dream finally come true?
From a sweet little boy's wonderful gift

The clock jumps along farther into his life
His aunt thrilled like it were her own son
Where he has met a girl soon to be his wife
Smoothly and great things seem to run

He is married at a church with his one love
His miserable poor life now made of gold
Smiling are the angels from heaven above
Unfortunately his aunt begins to grow old

Twins are soon born healthy to their surprise
A generation introduced to a new day
Bringing tears of joy to everyone's eyes
While another aging generation fades away

For his aunt has cancer and no hope
His aunt dying with such a fatal disease
Burning out is her life and last rope
All he can do is pray on his knees

Soon she sadly lays in a body sized bed
He bids farewell to his best friend
A sheet covering her tiresome head
In her casket lays a note she must send

The note saying "Wherever you may go
Whatever lays beyond your sad death
I want my real mother to always know
that I thank her for giving me my breath"

The time jumps to my last and final hour
I bid my wife and children good bye
Where the world on me turns tart and sour
Next to my aunt and mother I shall lye
