The sun went down and the stars refused to shine
Cut myself to watch it bleed, just to pass the time
My soul turned to nothing as I witnessed the death of my heart
The misery sunk into me and ripped me apart
All hope was gone, I had the emotional gun to my head
I was so tired of just lying alone in my bed
I was about to drown in all the tears I had cried
But then I looked through the eyes of an angel, and everything was alright

The fire had burnt out and the ashes were all that was left
I was tired of life and with open arms, welcoming death
I tore at my hair and screamed at the walls
Punched my fist through the glass and broke it all
And as the blood ran red from my youthful hands
I swore to God that I was surely damned
I was ready to go and sick of having to even try
But then I looked through the eyes of an angel, and everything was alright

Though we truly never met I'm thankful for the angel
Who was lucidly there in the hardest of times
I dreamed of looking through her eyes
And just that made everything a little closer to alright
