Athame - A double edged knife-like tool used to cast a circle or channel energy, but never to cut anything material. It symbolizes Fire or Air depending on the owner's tradition.
Book Of Shadows - A personal journal in which Witches keep their notes on ritual and magic, records of dreams, herbal recipes, class notes, and/or guidelines and beliefs of covens.
Candles - In addition to lighting up your alter, candles are also used for spellworking.
Cauldron - It is usually a cast-iron pot, used in cauldron magic, divination, to cook in for sabbat feasts, or to burn things in for spells.
Chalice - The chalice is a cup or goblet that is usually used to hold wine. It is symbol of both Water and the womb.
Sword - used to cast a circle or direct energy, it is a symbol of Fire.
Wand - used in magic to direct energy, and to to repel or attract. Made of wood, glass, copper, crystal, or other materials.
