A website featuring images taken with my Canon Pro 90IS digital camera

This site will contain various night and day shots from around New York City

New pics added on 8-30-02 and taken in midtown and lower Manhatten (Little Italy)

These were taken in shutter prioritry @1/6, 1/8, 1/10 and 1/20th sec  shutter in ISO 100, with the exception of the building shots which were taken in P mode @ ISO auto

Special Note- In two of the images you will see the Empire State Building in the backround. (the 6th and 13th pictures in order)

The following pics were shot on 7-21-02 in lower Manhattan

All of the above pics were shot with a Conon Pro 90IS in tv mode @1/20th sec shutter and ISO 100, RAW mode and using a very very steady hand !!

All TIFF to JPEG conversions were done using ACDSEE image software.T

Over all I was pretty happy with the Pro90's night shot capability. I did find that not using a tripod I was still able to capture pretty sharp images the key obviously being the right settings and a rock steady hand. Also propping my arm on something seemed to help also since I do not carry a tripod around with me.
