Devil May Cry 3 Information
Here's the first information relating to Devil May Cry 3 appeared in the last Official Playstation 2 Magazine, issue #85 June 2004:

The game would be in fact a prequel.
The action director, Yuji Shimomura is the person involved in Capcom's Devil May Cry 3 game.
The Producer of the series Tsuyoshi Tanaka wishes to take again the graphic style of the first opus.
The play will be presented at the time of E3 but the special movements will not be revealed to avoid the Spoilers.
The new system of the gameplay called 'style system' will make it possible to the player to choose between several styles of movements at the beginning of the play such as Gunslinger, Swordmaster, Trickster, and Royal Guard. The gained points dexperience throughout play could be added to these styles which have each advantage and of the disadvantages.
The transformation of Dante into Demon remains still a secrecy.
The length of the play will be comparable with the first opus, one also indicates the same quantity of enygmes to be solved.
The levels were conceived in such manner to be able to effectively use all the movements and others combo carried out by our hero.
Devil May Cry 3 has a new three-dimensional chart engine, that makes it possible to the originators to add new special effects, the enemies for example will consist of sand.
The environments will be much more destructible.
The shades and lights will be more realistic.
Effects related to the climate will be present.
The play will comprise missions with scenes kinematics.
Certain missions will not have a Boss and others will have several of them.
New female character still unknown. Tanaka won't say if she's a love interest, or even playable, but he did indicate that the new style system and focus on customizing Dante will mean that we won't see a second character who's playable for the entire game. Who is she then? 'Someone Dante knew before DMC1' is all Tanaka would let slip at this point.
