FreeFly™ Program Developing The Art of Human Flight © OLAV ZIPSER'S FIRST SCHOOL OF MODERN SKYFLYING LLC.

The Atmosphere Dolphin licence is the first human flight performance test offering the possibility to freefly next to a 'measuring stick' space ball. The spaceball travels in perfect freefall, straight down and always at exactly 155mph. This enables the freeflyer to learn the worldwide standard set fourth by The First School of Modern Skyflying next to the spaceball. Training to freefly in control with this meausering device enables freeflyers to test their minimum freefly skill requirements which will prepare the individual freeflyer to fly safely with other licensed freeflyers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ATMOSPHERE DOLPHIN TEST "A"

* Good communication with the aircraft pilot for proper spotting over an uninhabited area, proper wind drift calculations, as well as checking for the presence of possible clouds, the Freefly™ Instructor releases the space-ball from an altitude of 13,500ft, which travels at 155 mph straight down. The testee is free to choose his/her exit position.

*The testee dives after (not before) the space ball leaves the hand of the instructor and retrieves it.

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control).

* Testee performs a full 360 rotation around one of the 3 possible axis (x, y, z), it’s up to the testee to choose around which axis to perform the 360 Rotation.

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control).

* Testee performs a full 360 rotation around one of the 3 possible axis (x, y, z), it’s up to the testee to choose around which axis to perform the 360 Rotation. (different from the first choice).

*Testee retrieves the space-ball before 6000 ft, puts it in the left hand and pulls between 4000 and 3500 ft AGL to allow extra time in case of an emergency situation.

*The Freefly™ Instructor is allowed to retrieve the space-ball at any time for any safety reason. In this case, the test will be considered as incomplete.

* Minimum requirement to attempt the AD ‘B’ Test is to have previously passed the AD ‘A’ Test

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control)

*Testee performs a full 360 turn around the vertical axis (y), testee may choose to rotate either to the left or the right.

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control)

*Testee performs a full 360 rotation around the horizontal axis (x). Testee may choose to perform a back or a front flip.

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control)

*Testee performs a full 360 rotation around the side axis (z), testee may choose to perform a left or right weed eater.

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control)

*Testee performs a full 360 turn around the vertical axis (y), testee must perform in the opposite direction of the first turn performed (if first turn was to the right this turn needs to be to the left).

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control)

*Testee performs a full 360 rotation around the horizontal axis (x), testee must perform the loop in the opposite direction of the first loop performed (if first loop was a front loop this one needs to be a back loop).

*The testee passes the spaceball from one hand to the other and then releases it back into space (shows individual upper body control)

*Testee performs a full 360 weedeater/cartwheel around the side axis (z), testee has to perform the weedeater/cartwheel in the opposite direction of the first weedeater performed (if first weedeater was to the right this one needs to be to the left)

*Testee retrieves the space-ball before 6000/5500 ft AGL, puts it in the left hand and pulls between 4000 ft and 3500 ft AGL, to allow extra time in case of emergency. Freefly™ Instructor is allowed to retrieve the space ball at any time for any safety reason. In this case the test will be considered as incomplete.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ATMOSPHERE DOLPHIN TEST "C"

* Minimum requirement to attempt the AD ‘C’ Test is to have previously passed the AD ‘B’ Test

* Good communication with the aircraft pilot for proper spotting over an uninhabited area, proper wind drift calculations, as well as checking for the presence of possible clouds. The testee is free to choose his/her exit position. Both Freefly™ Instructors, primary spaceball master and secondary spaceball master, will exit the aircraft at the same time as the testee and will document on video every step of the testee’s performance.

* Testee exits the aircraft at approximately 13500 ft. AGL with one space ball in each hand. The 2 space balls will have 2 different colors: for example one is white and one is yellow

* Testee releases one of the 2 space balls into space then places the other spaceball next to the first one previously released, on level, within its grabbing distance; or may release both space balls simultaneously one next to the other at grabbing distance. Primary space ball master will stay on level with the white space ball at appropriate distance, secondary space ball master stays on level following the movement of the yellow space ball, at appropriate distance.

* Testee performs a 360 turn around the vertical axis, then retrieves one of the 2 space balls (the most convenient one), brings it back to the other space ball and releases it next to it, on level, within grabbing distance

* Testee performs a 360 rotation around the horizontal axis (front or back loop), then retrieves one of the 2 space balls, brings it back close to the one still free in space, releases it next to it, on level, within grabbing distance.

* Testee performs a 360 Rotation around the side axis (left or right weedeater/cartwheel), then must retrieve the yellow space ball. Put it in the left hand and pull between 4000 and 3500 ft, to allow extra time in case of a parachute emergency. All maneuvers need to be completed by 6500 ft. AGL. Freefly™ instructor, the primary space ball master, will retrieve the white space ball. Second space ball master responsibility is to catch the yellow spaceball in case the Testy does not.

* The Testee must retrieve and retain the yellow space ball by 6500 ft AGL.

* For any safety reason (entering a cloud or air traffic or dangerous performance of the Testy or for any other emergency situation) the Freefly™ instructor may wave off the Testy, at this sign the secondary space ball master/evaluator must retrieve one of the 2 space balls at once and the primary evaluator the other space ball. In this case the test will be considered incomplete.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ATMOSPHERE DOLPHIN TEST "D"

* Minimum requirement to attempt the AD ‘D’ Test is to have previously passed the AD ‘C’ Test

* Testee performs a 360 turn around the vertical axis. A left or right turn, then retrieves one of the 2 spaceballs, brings it back to the other spaceball , releases it next to it on level within grabbing distance.

* Testee performs a 360 rotation around the horizontal axis (front or back loop), then retrieves one of the 2 spaceballs, brings it back next to the other spaceball still in space, releases it next to it, on level, within its grabbing distance.

* Testee performs a 360 rotation around the side axis (left or right weedeater), then retrieves one of the 2 spaceballs, releases it next to the other spaceball still in space, on level, within its grabbing distance.

* Testee performs a 360 turn around the vertical axis. In the opposite direction of the first 360 turn, so that if he/she first performed a right turn earlier in the sequence now will have to do it to the left. Then retrieves one of the 2 spaceball, brings it back close (within grabbing distance) to the spaceball still in space, releases it next to it, on level

* Testee performs a 360 rotation around the horizontal axis (front or back loop) but in the opposite direction of the first loop performed earlier in the sequence. That means that if he/she performed a front loop earlier, now will have to do a back loop instead. Then retrieves one of the 2 spaceball, brings it back next to the other spaceball, releases it next to it, on level, within its grabbing distance.

* Testee performs a 360 rotation around the side axis (left or right weedeater/cartwheel) but on opposite direction then the first weedeater/cartwheel performed earlier in the sequence. That means that if she/he performed a left weedeater first now will have to do a right one instead. Then he/she must retrieve the yellow spaceball, put it on the left hand and pull.

* Put it in the left hand and pull between 4000 and 3500 ft, to allow extra time in case of a parachute emergency. All maneuvers needs to be done by 6000 ft. AGL. Of course safety of the skydivers will be a priority and that is why all Atmosphere Dolphins Licenses Tests will have to be done over a proper uninhabited area.

* The Freefly™ Instructor, the primary spaceball master, will retrieve the white spaceball. Second spaceball masters responsibility is to catch the yellow spaceball in case the testee does not.

* The Testee must retrieve and retain the yellow spaceball by 6000 ft AGL.
