Nick didn't know what is was about him that so enamored him. Maybe it was the goofy grin he would get on his face like a kid who had just been caught in the cookie jar. Maybe it was the way he smelled when he wore his favorite cologne. He wasn't sure, but he was sure of the shy glance's that made his knees grow weak. The touch of his fingers that sent shivers down his spine. The feel of their bodies pressed together after they spent all night making love. He was sure of that and of that fact that he loved someone more than he ever thought he possibly could. Watching as he slept like a baby he gently rolled over. Muttering as fumbled through the trail of clothes in search of his ringing cellphone. They had never been much for caring when or where it happened. One touch and the world was forgotten as their clothes were discarded in a trail that most always could be found leading to the bedroom. Their were times though, they never made it to the bedroom. Times when they barely made it to the stairs before they were all over each other.

"Shit, hello?"

"Nick?"

"Aaron?"

"Hi."

"Hey, bro what's up" said Nick.

"Not much. Mom wants to talk to you about, hold on." said Aaron.

"Hi."

"Hey mom. Do you know it's two in the morning" said Nick.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you? You know since we moved to California I completely forget about the time change. Nick do you remember Mrs. Bailey from our bridge club" said Jane.

"The lady that always wears the funky hats" said Nick. "

"Yes, I was telling her how you don't have much time to date and she started telling me about her niece who's around your age and how she just moved to Orlando and doesn't know her way around. I told her you could take her out and show her the town. She's sounds like a lovely girl and you know you might really hit it off" said Jane.

"I can't go out with her" said Nick.

"I know the last thing you want is your mother setting you up on a blind date but I think this could be a good thing" said Jane.

"I can't mom."

"Why, what harm could their be in seeing what she's like said Jane.

"I'm seeing someone."

"Seeing someone, that's great. Why didn't you tell us" said Jane.

"We were on tour, I've been busy" said Nick.

"We talk to each other everyday."

"It just never seemed like the right time" said Nick.

"So this girlfriend, she lives in Orlando" said Jane.

"We're not exactly girlfriend and boyfriend" said Nick.

"I don't believe it. Are you telling me your engaged" said Jane.

"No, we're..."

"My little boy, engaged. I think I'm going to cry."

"Mom, that's not what I meant. we're not."

"Wait till I tell your father and your grandmother she's going to be so thrilled. Do you know how she's waited to see one of her grandchildren get married. This almost makes our surprise seem like nothing" said Jane.

"Surprise?"

"We're coming to visit for three days" said Jane.

"Here, to Orlando" said Nick nervously twisting the window cord.

"Yes. Your dad and I, your brother and sister's."

"You don't like to fly mom."

"I know but your father assured me will all be safe. You don't seem excited" said Jane.

"I'm just a little surprised" said Nick.

"How often is it that we can have all the family together. What with you always touring and Aaron touring."

"When are you arriving?" asked Nick.

"Our plane leaves Tuesday at 9." Don't worry about picking us up. Their is too much chance of being recognized and we have to go through all that security. We'll just take a cab" said Jane.

"This is not. You know we might have to fly out for some interviews this week" said Nick.

"That's fine. Maybe we'll have more time to get to know this fiancee of yours while your gone" said Jane.

"Mom, you not listening."

"I'll call you before we leave in the morning. You go back to bed and get some sleep" said Jane.

"Mom, wait" said Nick his voice trailing off.

"Hey, what are you doing up, it's 2 a.m. Nick, something bothering you" said Brian sitting up in bed.

"My parents are arriving Tuesday to stay here, three days. They think I'm seeing a wonderful girl. Worse yet they now think I'm engaged to that wonderful girl. And very shortly the whole family will think I'm engaged to a wonderful girl" said Nick.

"You just lost me. You want to start over slowly from the beginning" said Brian.

"My mother called to tell me that she had told the lady that was in her bridge club that I would go out with her niece. I told her I was seeing someone" said Nick.

"You told her about us" exclaimed Brian.

"No, I told her I was seeing someone. I thought it would end her trying to set me up with all these different girls. She got excited. I tried to tell her we weren't exactly girlfriend and boyfriend that's when she got the idea that we were engaged. I told her that's not what I meant but she started crying and talking about how much this would mean to my grandmother to see her grandchild walk down the isle and before I knew it she hung up" said Nick.

" Well, we were waiting for the right time to tell everyone. I guess this will definitely be interesting if nothing else" said Brian.

"What? No, we can't tell them. It's Thanksgiving, it would break my grandmother's heart to tell her now" said Nick.

"Ok, boy wonder. Then just what do you plan to do?" asked Brian.

"Tera" said Nick surprised as he looked up.

"Hi, I wouldn't have stopped but I saw your light on and I assumed you were still up. I have the final papers for the club you wanted me to bring you" said Tera.

"It's not really a good time right now. Can we maybe deal with this tomorrow" said Nick.

"Sure, not like I have anything to but slave away thanks to, my boss" said Tera.

"Wait, turn around" said Nick.

"Why?"

"Just turn around. That's it, your perfect" said Nick.
