"What if something had happened the baby. Look at what I could have done. Look at what I've done to you. I feel terrible. Please you have to know I never meant for this to happen" said AJ.

"You should. You lied to me. You claim to love me and then you sleep with someone else" said Howie.

"Yeah, that's me. AJ, the royal screw up. I lied to you and I lied to myself. I couldn't tell you. I was afraid I would loose you" said AJ.

"Maybe if you had told the truth you wouldn't have" said Howie pulling the shirt over his head.

"You know I think what bothers you is not so much that I let you down but that I screwed up again" said AJ.

"No that bothers me. That bothers me big time. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. But you betrayed me. How can I love you when you do something like this. I can't, not anymore" said Howie.

"One part of you says that. And I'm responsible for that and I will never forgive myself. But their's another part of you, a bigger part of you. That knows you still do. You just don't want to admit it.

"No, I don't" said Howie.

"Yes you do" said AJ pulling him close as his lips found Howie's kissing him hungrily.

"AJ, no. We can't do this" said Howie attempting to pull away as AJ ignored his words. AJ's hands roaming down his chest. He knew his resolve was weakining. It always did. One touch and suddenly thing had melted into a blur of clothes being discarded. Of AJ thrusting into him over and over. It was a mistake to let it happen. A mistake that was all to clear as he searched for his clothes, now in a crumpled pile. Pulling the wrinkled shirt over his head he slid into his slippers.

"You couldn't sleep" said AJ rolling over..

"I did, for awhile. But then I woke up and I layed their and watched you breathe. And I realized it's not enough.

"You coming back, us making love. Last night was real. You know I want you back in my arms. I want to wake up and see you here next to me" said AJ.

"What, so you don't feel cold and alone" said Howie.

"No, because I love you.

"AJ, one night of making isn't going to make up for what you did. We can't just pick up like nothing happened" said Howie.

"Why not" said AJ.

"Because their is a woman in the next room carrying your baby. The baby you made when you slept with her" said Howie.

"Howie, I need you. I can't do this without you" said AJ.

"Did you need me seven months ago? Because I wasn't there and you got drunk and turned the first available person you could find. You know I don't know what's worse. Having you cheat on me with a man, or having you cheat on me with a woman" said Howie.

"We can't go on like this" said AJ.

"Your right, we can't. Look, I'm not saying things between us can't be fixed. It's just going to take some time. You broke the most important thing in a relationship, trust. I have to be able to trust you again and right now I can't do that" said Howie.

"So where do we go from here" said AJ.

"I'm not leaving" said Howie.

"See, I told you, you still love me" said AJ.

"Don't put words in my mouth. I'm not staying for you, I'm staying for Raine. You've barely begun taking care of yourself again. The last thing your capable of is taking care of Raine. I'm thinkwe woke Raine. I'm going to go check on her. You should get dressed" said Howie. "Hey, I'm sorry if we woke you" said Howie.

"It's ok, I was already awake" said Raine.

"You don't look so, is everything ok?" asked Howie.

"Yeah, everything's fine" said Raine forcing a smile.

"I'm going to make some breakfast."

"That sounds good. I'll be down in a minute" said Raine.

"Eggss ok?"

"Sure" said Raine. Watching as Howie disappeared down the stairs Raine fought to catch her breath as she held onto the counter.

"Please God, this baby just needs a few more weeks. You have to give him that."
