Taking a deep breath Raine nervously rang the bell as she looked around.

"I'm coming. You know you think just once you could remember your...I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else" said Howie as he opened the door. "Can I help you."

"Does AJ still live here" said Raine.

"Yes, he still lives here" said Howie reluctantly.

"I wanted to talk to him for a second if he's not busy" said Raine.

"He's not home right now. Do you know each other" said Howie.

"Oh, God you must think I'm some fan. I don't blame you I'm sure he gets a lot people coming to the door. I have a picture of us here somewhere" said Raine as she rummaged through her backpack. "Here" said Raine handing him the photo.

"I'm sorry I seemed suspicious" said Howie staring at the photo.

"It's ok."

"Your welcome to come in and wait if you like. He should be home any minute" said Howie.

"Thanks."

"What's your name" said Howie.

"Raine."

"Pleased to meet you Raine, I'm Howie" said Howie extending his hand.

"Do you live here?" asked Raine.

"Yeah, well just temporarily until I can find a house" replied Howie.

"So you and AJ are friends" said Howie.

"You might say that" said Raine.

" You wouldn't believe how many different types of pasta their are. I'm telling you, next time you can do the shopping" said AJ as he pulled Howie in for a kiss.

"AJ, cut it out will you. Stop goofing off in front of our guest" said Howie pushing him away. Turning in the direction on the figure AJ's eyes grew wide.

"Raine."

"Hi" said Raine meekly.

I'm surprised to see you" said AJ.

"Yeah, I figured you would be."

"She wanted to talk to you but you weren't here so I told her she could wait. I thought she was a fan at first until she showed me the picture" said Howie.

"Picture" said AJ.

"The one they took at the party" said Raine.

"The party, yeah. So are you living here" said AJ.

"No" said Raine.

"Look, I just, I need to talk to you about something" said Raine.

"Sure, take a seat" said AJ.

"I"ll leave the two of you alone. I can put the groceries away" said Howie.

"No, it's ok. You can stay" said AJ.

"I really think I should say this in private" said Raine.

"Hey, whatever you need to say, you can say it in front of Howie" said AJ.

"I'm pregnant" said Raine.

"I can see that."

"I'm seven months, pregnant."

"Seven months" said AJ barely managing to speak.

"Yeah, the tests showed I. Well the baby was conceived in March" said Raine.

"Your sure" said AJ.

"Would I really be here if I wasn't."

Am I missing something here" said Howie.

"Why would you be missing something. You know I'm very happy for you. I know you wanted kids" said AJ.

"Your happy."

"Will you excuse us for a second" said Howie pulling AJ into the kitchen. You know you really ought to work on the lying thing because your really lousy at it. "How about you start explaining, what's really going on.

"I should go talk with her" said AJ.

"Not before you talk with me."

"You remember the party at the club when you had that new group performing."

"Yeah, the one in March" said Howie.

"Well you had to fly to Los Angeles, you know and it was right after I had started drinking heavily. I met Raine at the party." said AJ.

"Go on."

"I slept with her."

"You slept with her" said Howie.

"I was drunk we got a little carried away" said AJ.

"Carried away, so what, are you suddenly bi, are you suddenly straight. Have I just some quick fix when you couldn't get a woman" said Howie.

"How could you even think that. Look I was drunk. You know how I got when I was drinking. I didn't know what I was doing."

"Apparently you did. Do you think being drunk excuses what you did" said Howie.

"Howie, I love you" said AJ.

"Love, you only love yourself. And I don't feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for that girl in there. I feel sorry for that innocent baby who didn't ask for any of this. You know, for once in your life you've finally managed to do something you can't fix" said Howie.
