"What are you listening too" said Joey taking a seat beside him.

"Bon Jovi" replied Lance.

"Again? You've been listening to that CD for weeks" said Joey.

"I like it" said Lance.

"I think it's Jon you like. Come on, weren't you just saying the other day you think he's sexy" said Joey.

"He is" said Lance blushing.

"So you do like him" said Joey.

"How can I like him. I've never even met him" said Lance.

"Maybe you'll get your chance at the party tonight. I here Bon Jovi is supposed to be there" said Joey.

"Really" said Lance raising an eyebrow.

"What are you two up too" said Justin approaching.

"Just talking with Lance about his boryfriend" said Joey smiling.

"Boyfriend. Don't tell me your still listening to that CD" said Justin.

"Yes, I'm still listening to that CD. I like their music, that is all it is" said Lance seemingly annoyed.

"Just admit it. You love Jon's ass fits around those tight leather pants" said Justin.

"Ok, that's it. I am going to go sit on the bus where I can listen to my CD in peace" said Lance.

"We have to leave in 5 minutes" said Joey.

"Fine, I'll be in Lonnie's room then" said Lance. Walking down the hallway he slid the key through the door as he entered the empty room. They always teased him for being gay. Teased him everytime he dared mention an interest in someone. Hell, Justin loved --- but do you think they teased him. So what if he thought Jon was sexy. So did half of the women in America. It's not like they would ever hook up. Jon was married. Had two kids, or was it three. He could never remember. What did Justin know anyway. Sure Jon looked sexy in those leather pants but that wasn't what turned him on. What turned him on was his smile. That sheepish, sexy grin that made him just want to melt. God, if he ever stood next to that man he would die of the sheer joy.

"We're ready. Hello, earth to Lance." said Joey poking his head in the door.

"Huh? I'm coming" said Lance grabbing his CD player.

"Your bringing your CD player" said Joey as Lance caught up to him.

"I can listen to it in the limo"said Lance.

"I'm begining to think you need professional help" said Joey smiling.

"What took you so long. The limo's waiting" said JC frowning.

"Loverboy over here, couldn't stop drooling over Jon" said Joey smiling.

"Not Jon again. What are you going to do if you ever meet him, faint" said JC.

"I wouldn't faint" said Lance.

"No, you would just hyperventilate" said Justin.

"Hey, if you stop breathing Jon can revive you" said Chris.

"Revive him, it would probably kill him" said JC laughing.

"I'm ignoring all of you" said Lance. Turning his attention to the crowd gathered outside as the pulled up to the red carpet.

"Stepping out of the limo Lance smiled as the flash of the camera's lit up the night. "Could Joey be right. Was Jon really scheduled to attend the party" Lance through to himself.

"Watching as his bandmates made their usual dispersment. Lance made his way through the crowd as he headed for the bar. His eyes scanning the room he shook his head. Joey was right, he did need professional help. He was never going to meet Jon. Nothing was ever going to happen between them. Jon was straight. As in married, as in kids. Turning to see Joey wave from across the room Lance smiled as he saw him talking with a tall blonde. It always amazed him how easily Joey could have any woman he wanted. He had always surmized that it was easier being straight. But then he wouldn't know he had always been gay. Always knew he was attracted to men.

"Give me something hard" said Lance.

"How about a Scotch" said the bartender.

"Scotch is fine" said Lance.

"You need something hard too, huh?" said Jon watching as the bartender poured the drink.

His glass in hand Lance stood frozen as he played the words over in his head. He knew that voice. He heard it over and over in the hundreds of interviews he had listened too. Turning in his direction Lance could barely speak as he managed a reply.

"Yeah" said Lance nervously.

"Hi, I'm Jon" said Jon smiling.

"I'm, I'm Lance. Lance Bass."

"Bass, I like Bass. Their really good. Sorry, that was a bad joke" said Jon smiling.

"Your in the group Nsync, right."

"Yeah."

"My daughter loves you. She listens to your CD non-stop. It's really good" said Jon.

"Thanks" said Lance blushing.

"Let me guess, your not much of a party person" said Jon.

"Is it that obvious" said Lance.

"Only to a fellow party hater. I was just about to cut out and get a burger. Would you like to join me" said Jon. The words rolling around in his head like a dream Lance wasn't sure of what he heard.

"God, I'm sorry. I have this insane habit of being forward. You probably want to go meet up with the group" said Jon.

"No, I could stand to get out of here myself" said Lance.

"You sure" said Jon.

"Sure, why not" said Lance trying to contain the rush of feelings inside him. "The burger joint. It's only a block away. I usually walk. Their's a different air about the night. Helps me forget about the lonliness" said Jon.

"Althea, dosen't come out with you?" asked Lance.

"Not often, you know because of the kids and all" replied Jon.

"You have two kids, right."

"Yeah. You have any" said Jon.

"No."

"Let me guess your not married either" said Jon.

"No, I'm, I'm gay" replied Lance nervously looking away.

"Nothing wrong with being gay. Don't let this get out but I'm not exactly straight myself" said Jon.

"You, your..."

"Don't look so shocked kid. Their's a lot of us out there" said Jon.

"But your married" said Lance.

"I'm bi" said Jon."
