The Fall

An angel falls,

Clawing at the light,

Refusing the night.

Satan opens his arms,

Wide.

She cannot hide.

Her wings turn black,

The crack in the heavens closes once more,

A door slamming in her tear streamed face.

Darkness above,

Darkness below

The glow that encased her is fading.

She is tarnished,

Worn

Her celestial shield is torn.

Cast down,

Her gown,

In tatters lies

As she falls to the floor of hell,

And cries.
