Who are we?
The Society of the Black Swan was created by Ceinwyn for the purpose of helping to unite the Vampire community. However, the vampire community is not just vampires. The vampire community also consists of vampire's friends and donors. These are the people who this site was created for. There are a few support pages out there for vampires, but very few (it seems) for their associates. The aim of this site is to give non-vampires a better degree of understanding and to let you know you are not alone.
So that no-one is confused, I feel it necessary to clarify this before we go any further. This site has NO affliation of any sort to a site called The Order of the Black Swan. The Order of the Black Swan is a role playing site, and this site is for people who are connected to real vampires, not a role playing game.
This site is trying to help. I want everyone to know however, that a lot of things discussed in here are opinions of people. Not everyone has the same opinions, and I think that it is important to allow people to have their say, without being condemned. Please when reading (or going into the chatroom, or adding to the guestbook) remember this, and treat everyone with respect. It is everyone's right to an opinion, but it is also your right not to believe others. Just please don't offend people in the process.
