The Gothic Toybox presents Inertia and Project X, from a spring 2001 show at what was once
a dance night called Hex. The pictures didn't turn out quite as well as I would have liked,
but nonetheless I thought they were worthy of posting. Sadly, I only have one pic of Project X
at the bottom of the page.
Yes, I realize that it looks like these guys are playing in someone's basement. The Mutiny, the bar where this show was at, was really small. But, there is a certain seedy charm to all those sheets of plastic, isn't there?
The lineup: Ed on keyboards/vocals, Reza on lead vocals, and Alexis on drums/vocals.
I was impressed with Alexis...I hadn't yet seen a female drummer in any show I'd been to. This girl deserves a lot of respect. She also has a great voice and is shown here doing lead vocals for one of the songs.
Here's a not so hot pic of Project X, who opened for Inertia. The vocalist is the smeary blob kneeling on the floor in the center. it was nearly impossible to get this guy on film as he kept charging around like a crack fiend all over the stage, lunging into the audience and throwing himself off stationary objects. Please don't give the Swedes caffeine. It's really not necessary.
