Nagareboshi o Matsu Shoujo (The Maiden who Awaits the Shooting Star)

Sung by: Urd (Touma Yumi)

*This was my all-time favorite AMG song…maybe still is…though I’ve listened to it to death ^^; Oh well, it’s still REALLY nifty.

Nagareboshi o matsu shoujo no yume
Yoru no sora no yami ni toketa yo
Adokenasa mo kieta fukai kanashimi
Negaigoto kanau made hoshizora ni hitori

Hanashite goran namida no wake o
Chiisa na mune ni sasaru bara no you na toge o

Ochiru namida ryuusei nara sen no negai kanau kara
Hoho o tsutau namida tomenai de
Koi ga hitotsu umareru tabi sora o kakeru hoshi ni naru
Kanashimi made sotto tsuresaru

Naki tsukareta ato shoujo wa fu to
Hiroi sora ni umi o kanjita
Nomikomarete shimau kako mo namida mo
Pegasasu no hashiru nami oshiyoseta yuuki

Sugu ni egao ni modorenai kedo
Kokoro ni mebaeta no wa shiawase no tane sa

Ima mieteru hoshi ga subete tooi kako no kagayaki nara
Iku kounen mirai mo yoru wa kuru
Chiisa na mune itameteita hajimete shiru sayonara mo
Nagareboshi ga sora ni hakobu yo

Negai hitotsu kanau kinou yori mo kirei da yo
Hoho o tsutau namida kawaita ne
Koi ga hitotsu umareru tabi sora o kakeru hoshi ni naru
Kanashimi made sotto tsuresaru

The maidens dreams await the shooting star.
They melt into the darkness of the night sky.
Her sadness is deep and is vacant of innocence.
Until her wish is granted, it will remain alone in the starry sky.

Try talking to me about the reason behind your tears.
And about the thorny roses which pierce through your tiny heart.

If the tears you shed were shooting stars, you could grant one thousand wishes.
So please don't stop the tears from falling down your cheeks.
When a love for someone is born, it becomes a star, chasing after the sky,
Taking with it even your sadness.

After she could cry no more, the maiden suddenly noticed,
That she felt the presence of an ocean in the broad sky.
Her past struggles and tears are all absorbed in.
And the waves which Pegasus rides on bring her new courage.

I cannot promise you will be smiling again right away.
But what took root in your heart was a seed of happiness.

If the stars we see now are all glimmers from the distant past,
Then light-years away from now, night will still come.
The first "goodbye" you ever knew, which pained your tiny heart so,
Will be carried away by the shooting star.

Your one wish was granted. You are prettier than you were yesterday.
And I see the tears that fell down your cheeks are also dry.
When a love for someone is born, it becomes a star, chasing after the sky,
Taking with it even your sadness.
