Kachou Fuugetsu
("The Beauties of Nature")

Sung by: Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi

hana no saku sekai ni inochi miru you ni
tori ga tobu shunkan jiyuu o kanjiru
kaze ni mimi o sumaseba toki ga arawarete
tsuki o miru kokoro ni seijaku ga oriru

One can see ones life in a world where flowers bloom.
The instant the birds fly, one feels free.
If one perks ones ears to the wind, history will come alive.
And calmness will befall a heart that watches the moon.

mune no oku ni wa itai rekishi ga aru
ima mo uzuite tokidoki kirameku

Deep in my heart, I have a painful past.
Even now, it still whirls and shines inside of me.

*kanashimi no kawa o koete oira wa suishou ni naru
tamashi no dendoutai ni kibou o toosu no da

I cross over the river of sadness and become a crystal.
I transmit my hope out to the conductor of my spirit.

ten no chichi miagete akogare o idaki
chi no haha ni amaete hagukumareteiru
hito wa hitori janaku tsuranaru inochi de
ai ga aru kara koso ikiteyukeru no da

I look up at my Father in Heaven, and indulge in my dream.
I am raised out of sympathy by Mother Earth.
People are not alone; their lives are strung together.
And because we have love, we can live on.

migi no hiza ni wa shichiseishi no shirushi
waza o kiwamete chikara takuwaeru

On my right knee is the mark of Suzaku.
It gives me the power to store up extreme amounts of energy.

yorokobi no yama o nobori oira wa toumei ni naru
enajii wa jiyuujizai ishiki shidai na no da

I climb the mountain of joy and become transparent.
I can use my energy freely at will.

*-repeat

*There was a typo in the lyrics I have. It was written as "hito wa hitori janakute", but Chichiri sings it "hito wa hitori janaku".

**The phrase "kachoufuugetsu" is made up of the four kanji "flower, bird, wind, moon". (hana, tori, kaze, tsuki). Note how each line in the first verse begins with these kanji in order! Oooohhh…^_-

***Chichiri throws in a "no da" here and there (in case you haven’t noticed)
