As we were walking along the summer resort, arm in arm,
By coincidence, we came upon a wedding at a chapel.
The hymns melted into the morning air.
The couple looks so happy.

Lets go sneak a peek. I think they’re about to do their vows.
I wish we could share some of their happiness. I steal a glance at you.

The bells ring and flower pedals fly.
Their confirmed love satisfies their hearts.
Suddenly, tears roll down my face.
And I wipe them with your shirt.

Congratulations. Thank you. The bride throws out her white bouquet.
She shares her happiness with us. Her groom next to her smiles.

When the newly weds leave in their limousine,
You let out a big yawn.
Then you hug my arm tightly.
I wonder if you did this on purpose…

Ah! On the way back, while blushing, you say:
"I want to live with you someday".
Could that be a marriage proposal?

As we were walking along the summer resort, arm in arm,
By coincidence, we came upon a wedding at a chapel.
Destiny must have brought us there.
To invite in our future.

Once the train starts to leave at the station,
We become an inseparable pair.
I don't know where you got it from, but
You pulled out a shining ring!
And then you slipped it on my trembling finger.

*Note: In Japanese style church weddings, instead of throwing rice, they throw flower pedals… Well, I guess some American weddings do this, too, but we tend to think of "rice" as more the generic default thing to throw ^-^
