A genius (?) well, he's very smart. One of his main hobbies is editing images on the computer! (ah, a man after my own heart >: )= He gets along pretty well with Urumi (his seiyuu in the anime is Midorikawa Hikaru, too ).
Was the most resistant member of the main group of boys (Kikuchi, Fujiyoshi, etc) to accept Onizuka...because he was afraid Onizuka would steal his mommy away >: )= he is somewhat of an immature brat, but we all love him anyway. He is in love (though doesn't always like to admit it) with Kujirakawa. (his seiyuu in the anime is Seki Tomokazu)

"Tomoko" is her real name...but since she is very "toroi" (clumsy, stupid, ditsy), everyone calls her "Toroko" (even she calls herself "Toro-chan" ^_^). She used to be "friends" with Miyabi and Urumi in elementary school and jr. high (her relationship with Miyabi was that she was Miyabi's slave, and she was Urumi's "pet" ^_^. ). She has unusually large breasts and is always teased about it (and the fact that she's stupid). When Onizuka finds her...he turns her into an star >: )=
Incidentally, Toroko has her own mini-series called "GTO (Great Toroko Oppai)" [oppai=boobs]. This cute little side story made it into two episodes of the anime ^-^ It’s almost a separate story of its own… Her Seiyuu in the anime is Kawasumi Ayako.
Is my own personal favorite >: )=. She's a genius with an IQ of over 200, and has never quite been able to fit in. When Onizuka finds her, she is a VERY uncooperative little...bitch...but he soon finds out what made her that way, and, of course, turns her around >: )= Through the first half of the series, or so, she has a "secret". It’s finally revealed in volume 17 or so (go read my summaries : p ) but in the anime, it was revealed much earlier. How sad. Her seiyuu in the anime, by the way, is Mitsuishi Kotono. Oh, and she has one brown eye and one blue eye >: )= I hope to cosplay as her at the next con I go to (I’ve got the uniform; all I need is one brown color contact and blonde hairspray…)
Is probably one of the head "antagonists" of the series. She is determined to get Onizuka fired at any costs. She slowly loses her allies throughout the series, but she hasn't given up yet...she also has a lot of "problems" in her life. Her major problem is that her classmates who were all fighting for her revenge don't even know what their teacher actually did to her...She’s another confusing character because she starts out with black hair, then dyes it light blue around volume 14, then dyes it blonde in the early 20’s… Her Seiyuu in the anime is Noda Junko.
The class wimp. Short for his age, and always been teased. When Onizuka met him, he was in a suicidal mood, but Onizuka saved him and taught him how to stand up to people. His hobbies include anime and video games and other geek-related things. Yaaay!
One of the main girls who had been teasing Yoshikawa. But around volume 12 or so, the tables turn... She is probably the most immature girl of the entire classroom (except maybe Toroko...), and after she's cured of her bullyish-nature, she becomes one of the cuter, sweeter characters that just makes you go "Awwwww, she's so cuuuuuute ^-^". Especially when she's around Yoshikawa.
The school owner’s grandson. Much like Urumi, he is a severe problem child (for different reasons, though). And he is soooooooooooososososososososo CUTE!!! (rare thing for shounen manga ^_-) He, too, holds a grudge against adults who "messed him up". It’s mostly unclear what actually happened to him (something involving OD’s on nerve-calming medication and his parents), but he plans to get his revenge by becoming a famous pop singer and then doing something…
One of the boys in the main group of boys in this story. He doesn't have much of a part until volume 9 or so. He has many brothers and sisters, and his family is poor. He also loves Miyabi and drags her secret out of her eventually. He’s a hard worker and has a strong sense of honor (mostly likely from Onizuka’s influence). He’s the sort of guy anyone would want as a friend. Yup.
One of the boys in Murai’s group…..not much known about him except that he has a VERY ugly mother ^_^ Fujisawa-sensei has pity on him around volume 20 or so and lets him become obsessed with one of the new female characters (Tokiwa Ai). He even becomes a little perverted (almost steals her urine sample) and is very confused/embarrassed about his feelings.
"The giant" girl in the school (about 6 ft.) She is rumored to have a crush on Murai and later, Murai on her. She is a manga-otaku (yaaaay!) and is in the manga club even though famous sports schools and coaches have been begging her to become a professional sports type person. Despite what most people think, she is actually quite girlish ^-^
("Fukada" is her last name) The school idol and a girl that Murai had a crush on. She’s on the volleyball team at school. Not much is really revealed about her in the story. Not much else to say. She only exists in the manga.
One of Daimon’s "Angels". Kusano’s first love ^-^; A cute, silly girl on the surface, but underneath, she’s a martial arts freak with a HUGE grudge against men. She is, however, brought to justice by Onizuka and Kikuchi. When she fights, she sort of reminds me of Xaoiu (or however you spell that), that silly Chinese fighting chick in the school uniform from Tekken III.
Another one of Daimon’s "Angels". He seems to be a teased, bullied boy (much like Yoshikawa was at the beginning of the series), but he’s sneakier and more devious than you’d think. He also has some sort of close relationship with Daimon…
Wow, a pretty boy in a shounen manga!! Yaaaay! ^^; He was enrolled in Onizuka’s class the whole time, but never showed. Onizuka went to visit his house one day, to tell him to come to school…only to discover that his family was in the mob!! Yuuki, however, is just a simple boy who likes video games. He and Yoshikawa become good friends. (duh).
A girl in love with Murai. Would say more, but it would give away a funny part of the story ^_^. She barely even exists in the anime. What a shame.
They only have a short cameo in volume 12 or so, but they were so hilarious I put them in >: )= On a school trip to Okinawa, Onizuka arranges it so that people of different sexes share rooms. It ends up that Urumi is alone with these three Gundam otaku ^_^. And because she looks like a certain sailor senshi...well, you can probably guess what kind of hell she has to go through ^_-

Well, I already mentioned about his character on the main page. He's stupid, but you've gotta love him ^_^
A female teacher who started teaching the same day Onizuka did. Their meeting was rather interesting. Onizuka was in the train going to school when he noticed this pretty woman got in front of him. The train was crowded, so he decided to grab her ass ^_^. But someone else got there first! (none other than vice principal Uchiyamada >: )= He saved Fuyutsuki-chan from her molester and also encourages her throughout the series to be a better teacher (yeah, yeah, and yes, she does fall for him eventually ^_^ ).
One of the three vice principals at the school... though for the longest time, I thought he was THE principal (mainly since he's in the spotlight). Sometimes he disgusts me, and sometimes he cracks me up. He is also desperate to get Onizuka fired, but the lady over his head likes Onizuka, so it's hard for him. His life pretty much sucks, too (his wife's cheating on him, his daughter hates him, and the family dog attacks him ^_-). He resents Onizuka for EVERYTHING bad in his life, but he occasionally has moments of clarity where he realizes it’s his own fault…
The head of the school. She is the one who wanted to try Onizuka out. She covers for his mistakes sometimes, too ^_^. She’s otherwise a very interesting person. She likes to pose as the lunch-lady to study human behavior, and she’ll go so far as to break the law to keep Onizuka working for her. Her power is sometimes questionable, however…

The English teacher ^_^. He often throws in random English words into conversation and is a BIG pervert (in the manga) In the anime, he just has strange hobbies. ^_^.
The math teacher. He has an unhealthy obsession for Fuyutsuki O_o. He gets so far off the deep end that he actually wall-papers his apartment with pictures of Fuyutsuki, makes merchandise out of her pictures, sets up spy equipment to listen in on her phone calls and peep in on her, and makes a detailed plan (on his computer) to kill Onizuka ^_^.
I don’t know if his real name ever comes up… but Onizuka has christened him "Xaviar" b/c that’s who he looks like ^_^; He looks a little too much like Uchiyamada, which confused me the first time I read through the manga… he also acts a lot like Uchiyamada, too (only maybe a little more calm).
She is appointed as principal of the school in "Xaviar"’s place as part of a conspiracy to minimize the Commissioner’s power and to make Onizuka leave the school. Despite her young age of 34, she is very authoritative. She has her own complex reason for hating the Commissioner, too, and has created her own force of "Angels" to do her bidding.

The science teacher. He is often called "Chihuahua". ^-^

The P.E. teacher. He has a sort of rivalry with Onizuka that is quite funny…and stuff.

The school nurse. She often provides counciling for Onizuka and Fuyutsuki and says some deep and meaningful lines, but they wanted to make Fuyutsuki’s role bigger in the anime, so they got rid of Nurse Moritaka and had Fuyutsuki do most of the counciling and say most of her lines. They do bring her character into the anime in the middle of it, but she’s different. (the only thing that’s really the same is the name.)
Onizuka’s best friend since Jr. High. More is known about him from the prequels to GTO. He runs/works in a mechanic shop of sorts. His girlfriend is Nagisa (another character from the prequel), and he (and sometimes Nagisa ^^;) are always pulling Onizuka out of mess after mess… But they still can’t help but love the guy.
Ryuuji’s girlfriend. Much like Ryuuji, she has matured out of her have-fun-all-the-time-and-screw-society complex and is majoring in psychology in college. She has huge breasts (though not as huge as Toroko’s ^_-) and Onizuka always teases her and Ryuuji about them (and how he wishes he could have a big-breasted girlfriend like her ^_^;). Her Seiyuu in the anime is Araki Kae.
Toroko's manager. He is secretly in love with Toroko and is always trying to keep her away from "that demon" who wants to turn her into a "porn star" ^_^. (*he only really appears much in "Great Toroko Oppai").
Kunio's mother. She gave birth to Kunio when she was very young, so is still a young, sexy woman in her late 20's who always seems to be wearing skimpy clothes ^_^. Onizuka keeps making passes at her, but for some reason, they never "get it on"… Probably because beneath his hentai-ness, Onizuka IS a gentleman, and because Julia is mature and has a big sense of responsibility…
Mayu’s sidekick (or something). Mayu knows it’s very useful to have a sexy, huge-breasted female on your side when trying to get Onizuka to do your bidding ^_- She has a butterfly tattoo on her chest which she makes "flap" by squeezing her boobs together. That is all…
Fuyutsuki Azusa’s little sister ^-^. She’s cute, she’s smart, and she can fight! AND she’s a mystery-otaku, just like Kindaichi Hajime ^^; She comes to visit for a few episodes when her sister goes missing, and, with the aid of Onizuka, finds her kidnapper…
Vice Principal Uchiyamada’s daughter…or maybe not. There are several funny scenes/monologues in the Uchiyamada household where Uchiyamada has family problems and blames them all on Onizuka. One problem is that his beloved, sweet daughter is changing. In the above picture, you see her as a "gal" (dark makeup and dyed hair). She obviously likes Onizuka and Uchiyamada is trying his best to keep the two apart. To make matters even worse, one day Yoshiko tells him that the butcher’s daughter looks a lot like her; like her *sister*. Uchiyamada has a flashback to where quite a few years ago, he had come home from work early to find his wife in a fluster, the butcher’s van outside (just leaving), a warm ashtray, and a box of kleenex laid sideways… But Yoshiko is a really sweet girl and does care for her father. All scenes with her in them are pretty funny.
AKA, "Suna-kujira", Kikuchi's e-mail buddy. If I said any more, it'd be a major spoiler... but I will say that he is greatly involved in Miyabi's climax scene in this series... (eeew, that kinda sounded gross ^^;;)
Don't remember if his full name was ever mentioned... but anyway, THIS is the teacher who started it all; all the rebellion in the former Class 2-4. Again, I would say more, but that would be a spoiler...though there isn't much about him as a character that is revealed anyway.
I love this running gag in the series where Uchiyamada’s Toyota Cresta is destroyed countless times. I hope to make a shrine to his Cresta one of these days…… ^-^
