Aya alerts Kyuu and Yuuhi of Suzumi’s apparent danger and the two females (and a reluctant Yuuhi) head over to the main Aogiri estate. When they arrive, Yuuhi’s father and brother are tied up, and Suzumi is trapped in a brainwashing machine created by Mikage’s men in an attempt to persuade Suzumi to take the Tennyo drug.
Desperate to save everyone, but realizing she is unable to do it, Aya changes into Ceres by her own will for the first time. Ceres incinerates Mikage’s men, but when the brainwashing equipment is taken off of Suzumi, she is still trapped in her dream.
First she’s happily married to Kazuma, then Kazuma is dead, then she has a miscarriage. She tries to kill herself, but is stopped when she remembers she promised Kazuma to take care of Yuuhi. Suzumi’s love for Yuuhi breaks the spell and she wakes up.
Aki visits Tooya’s cell. He apologetically releases Tooya’s handcuffs and says "I hear you’re in love with my sister. I’m sorry, but…" Aki grinds the sharp edge of the handcuffs into Tooya’s wrist. "…I won’t let you have her."
On the car ride back to Suzumi’s house, Ceres asks Yuuhi, "Why did you force yourself upon Aya? Was it your instinct to create offspring?"
Yuuhi says that he did it because he loves Aya. Ceres responds with "I do not believe in humans. But if you believe in what you say, then please show me what ‘love’ is."
The two kiss to seal the promise and to turn Ceres back into Aya. After a swift punch to Yuuhi’s face, Aya seriously sets her mind towards working WITH instead of AGAINST Ceres to stop the Mikage.
