Tooya lands on the railing of the ship and his wings dissolve into a glowing, red ball of mana which he holds in his hands. He is shot by the Mikage men, but takes no damage. He calmly places a palm to Wei’s face and returns his missing eye.
Elsewhere, men decked out in combat gear come upon the room holding all of the C-Genoma and find it filled with a red light. Tired of the dirty world and the ugliness of humanity, the girls suicide. They destroy the compound and a concussion wave hits the ship miles away from the land facility.
In the chaos from the wave, Ceres, who has turned to Aya, breaks free of Kagami and finds Yuuhi, who had moments before jumped onboard from a helicopter he and Kyuu had stolen. The two of them escape with Tooya.
They make way to a chapel on the ship, pausing there to catch their breath as they wait for reinforcements from Yuuhi’s father. Tooya reveals to them why he is alive now and where he came from. He is the mana. He was made from the mana separated from Ceres 5,000 years ago.
Yuuhi excuses himself to give Aya and Tooya privacy. Tooya says it’s time to return the mana, but Aya refuses and tells Tooya she is pregnant and she wants to live with Tooya and his child.
Aki, who has escaped, is drawn to the mana Alec had created. A force overcomes him and changes him into the pure manifestation of Mikagi. He leaves a trail of corpses throughout the ship as he looks for Tooya and Aya, to kill them both.
Tooya hears the commotion and entrusts Aya into Yuuhi’s care. Following the noise, he comes across Shiso and the two fight. In the struggle, Tooya falls into the ocean.
Yuuhi turns to investigate it when Shiso appears behind Aya. He shatters the window separating them and stabs Aya through the chest.
