Welcome to my new pirate island!
Ahoy, fellow sailors and pirates! If you have been here before, you see a completely changed site. Why the new layout? Well, I haven't been happy with the hotchpotch I had assembled here - a bit of this, a bit of that, but who'd care anyway? Most of what I said about musicals and movies had been said elsewhere already. If you want book and movie reviews, check out those popular online stores and online film magazines. So I decided to focus on one subject - and what's better than my current favourite obsession: Pirates.
Some of you know that I spent the last months writing my magnum opus and I'm nowhere near finished yet. I have done lots of serious and less serious research to make my pirate story both historically correct and exciting. If I succeeded is for you to tell. But I came across plenty of interesting stuff during my researches and if you're interested in pirates, sailing ships or 19th century history, you might find something to your liking here.
