Act XXIII
Chibiusa and Momo’s Investigation

On the sixteenth floor of a local hotel, the band members were kneeling
on the ground and being yelled at by Valsurania. “You all are incompetent idiots! Not only is another one of your band members dead, but your
cover has been blown. The sailor senshi now know you all are their
enemy.” A hologram of Valsurania zapped the band members with an
orange and pink electric shock which filled the entire hotel room. The
power of the attack shattered the windows of the room and was
destroying some of the furniture in the room as well. The entire band was
in immense pain and begging for another chance. “Please master
Valsurania, spare us. We have cleared up the donation fiasco of our
previous band member, and we will make sure the sailor senshi won’t publicly denounce us,” said Groce Jr. Valsurania halted her attack on the band. “I should just kill you all now and have the fan fiction review team take your places,” said Valsurania angrily. “We beg of you mighty
Valsurania, spare us; we will redeem ourselves,” begged Merrill. “If you
don’t find another band member to replace the one you lost, you won’t
have much confidence with the public. Find another band member soon!
You all must also act together. If you do not, the sailor senshi will defeat you. If you don’t do these things soon, I will return and kill you all
myself,” said Valsurania, as her hologram disappeared.

The band members got up and were aching all over. “We must search for another band member soon. Merrill and I will be looking to recruit another band member,” said Groce Jr. “While you two are doing that, we already have a plan in place,” said Callister, referring to himself and Nebekker. “Great, we will meet back here again shortly,” said Merrill as he and
Groce Jr. disappeared.

The sailor senshi had been waiting in the park for a couple of hours. “It’s
too bad she didn’t tell us what time in the day to meet her here,” said
Anna. “It’s really weird that the Quarter Evolution band is the enemy. It wasn’t something I would’ve expected,” said Chibiusa. “It does sound strange. Too bad they didn’t name their band ‘The Dark Guys,’ ‘Dark Band’, or ‘Twin Dark’ or something obvious that would make it easy to tell they
were evil,” said Lutina.

“Sorry to keep you all waiting. Hope you haven’t been waiting for too
long,” said a girl with brown hair, wearing some jeans and a t-shirt. “Oh,
hi; thanks for your help the other day,” said Kousagi. “I’m just glad I
found you in time before the enemy got to you,” said the girl. “By the
way, what is your name?” asked Kiusako. “I’m Tari. Is there another place we can go and talk?” “Sure. There is a place we can go,” said Chibiusa as they all left the park.

They all shortly arrived at Rei’s Hikawa shrine. “Rei’s not here right now,
but she won’t mind us being here,” said Chibiusa. They entered a room
with some sofas and a coffee table. “So where did you come from? How
long have you been a sailor senshi?” asked Kousagi. “I am from Japan
and was awoken as a sailor senshi recently when the scorching flames
were burning everything. I realized my alter ego as Sailor Virago,” said
Tari.

“Well now that we know that the Quarter Evolution band is the enemy,
we’ve got to attack them,” said Chibiusa. “But it won’t be easy. They are public figures and they’ve got quite a few fans here,” said Anna. “They
must know by now that we know of their evil plans and they might be
lying low for now,” said Lutina. “We’ll just have to get some evidence of what they’ve been doing and expose them,” said Kiusako.

“So what was it that you wanted to talk to us in private about?” asked Chibiusa. “I spend a lot of time in the forest since I like the outdoors,
and I’ve discovered some weird pod shaped objects in the ground. It
looks like some sort of traveling device. I almost didn’t see them since
they were covered up by dense foliage,” said Tari. “That’s strange. How
long ago did you first see them there?” asked Kiusako. “About a month
ago,” said Tari. “That’s about the same time I first heard about the
Quarter Evolution band on television,” said Chibiusa. “The Quarter
Evolution band is from outer space?” asked Kousagi confused. “Who
knows; but at least we know who we’re up against now,” said Anna. “They seem to be gathering large amounts of money to fund the space program. Watch out for anything suspicious,” said Kiusako. “Funding a space
program? What is that all about?” asked Tari. “We’re not exactly sure; but whatever it is, it can’t be good,” said Kousagi.

After the meeting, Tari pulled Chibiusa aside. “Can I ask you a question?” said Tari. “Sure, what is it?” asked Chibiusa. “Why is Sailor Earth a guy;
and why does it sound like he has a girl’s name?” asked Tari. “Well, it
seems that in his case, he was chosen to be a sailor senshi. We don’t
know why really, but it’s the first time we’ve heard of that happening. His name sounds feminine because he was raised by people who didn’t speak Japanese; so they named him an unconventional name for a boy,” said Chibiusa. “I have to tell you, it was a shock to see him in his sailor fuku
the other day,” said Tari. “Yeah, we’ve teased him about that a lot,” said Chibiusa.

Later the next day at school as Chibiusa attended her regular classes, she heard one of her classmates get angry and pound their fists on their desk. She looked over and saw that her classmate Momo was crying a little bit. Later that day at lunch, Chibiusa sat down by Momo. “Is there something wrong? You seemed a little upset in class today,” said Chibiusa. “Oh, its
just some problems my family is having. It makes me so mad that I want
to hit something real hard,” said Momo. “Well, if you want to talk about
it, I’m here to listen,” said Chibiusa. “Thanks for being such a good friend
all these years. It’s just that my dad has come across some problems
with his business,” said Momo as she proceeded to tell Chibiusa more details of the situation.

Chibiusa had arrived home later in the day and told Luna, Artemis and
Diana of what Momo had told her. “Well, you may be right about this,”
said Luna. “It just seems suspicious to me. Her dad’s shipping company
has never had any problems in the years they’ve been around and now they’re being fined 2,000,000 yen for mailing bio-hazardous waste in one
of their packages,” said Chibiusa. “Do they have any idea of who might
have done it?” asked Artemis. “No, they don’t. But it’s most likely from someone on the inside. Momo and I are going to investigate it tomorrow night,” said Chibiusa. “You two better be careful,” said Luna. “Yes, and let the other sailor senshi come with you as well in case you need any help,” said Artemis. “I’ll let them know about it,” said Chibiusa.

Back at the band’s hotel room, Merrill and Groce Jr. had walked in the
doors. “So, how did the band member recruiting go?” asked Nebekker.
“We haven’t found anyone we thought was promising. We’re going to try again next weekend,” said Merrill. “What about you two? How have things been going with your plan?” asked Groce Jr. “Very well. We should have
a lot of money coming our way soon,” said Callister.

“It worked out great today that we didn’t have to go to school so that we could be here and see if we can find out who is sending the waste in the packages,” said Chibiusa. “Thanks for helping me with this,” said Momo.
The two girls were hiding behind some boxes and had a good view of the employees working at the shipping dock. The sailor senshi were in hiding inside the building as well. They kept vigil for the day and hadn’t seen anything suspicious. “I’m sorry; I think this was a waste of time,” said Momo. “The day isn’t over yet. The night shift crew will be coming in
soon,” said Chibiusa.

“Well, hopefully Chibiusa was right about this. We’ve been here for a
while now,” said Kousagi. “There’s only four more hours left until this
place closes. We won’t have to be here much longer,” said Tari. A couple
of hours passed and everyone was getting bored. “I’m thirsty. I’m going
to get a soda from the vending machine,” said Kiusako. As Kiusako was walking over to get a drink, he passed up a small area off in the corner
set apart by a couple of cubicle walls. It was one of the designated
places where some of the employees went to take a small break.

“Master Nebekker and Callister are very pleased with our efforts,” said a voice behind the walls. “They had better be. We have a lot of money
coming their way for the funding,” said another voice. Kiusako overheard them and waited to see who it was. As soon as their break was over, he
saw two guys walk out of the area and go back to work. They were both wearing grungy clothes and baseball caps. One had long black hair and
some facial hair and the other had short blond hair. Kiusako returned to
the rest of the sailor senshi and pointed them out to Chibiusa. “Ok,
thanks. I’ll go tell Momo,” said Chibiusa.

“Kiusako overheard them saying some things which would lead me to
believe that they are the ones behind it,” said Chibiusa. “Ok. I believe
you. Let’s go get them,” said Momo. They both approached the two
workers as they were packaging products into boxes and sending them
off. “Are you two Steve Sena and Byron?” asked Momo. They both turned around. “Um, yeah; who are you?” asked Byron. “You little #$%! are scamming us out of money by putting waste in packages and then
sending them off and having us fined for it,” said Momo angrily. “We have
no idea what you are talking about,” said Sena. “Don’t lie to me! You
guys are going to pay for what you’ve done,” said Momo as she swung a metal bar at them. They dodged the attack and jumped in the air. “How
did she find out? Who is she?” asked Byron. “I don’t know, but we’ve got
to take them out now,” said Sena. They both turned into their true selves.

They both began to hunch over and lose their posture. Their hair grew
longer and they began to look like caveman hippies. They both had skateboards and rode them around Momo and Chibiusa. “They’re moving
too fast. I can’t get a good swing at them,” said Momo. “I don’t know how you two managed to find out about our plan, but you’re not going to live
to tell anyone about it,” said Sena.

“Twisting Thrasher,” said Sailor Virago as two green wind bursts gashed Sena and Byron up a lot and then blew them hard into a cement wall.
“Ouch bro; what the hell just hit us?” asked Byron. They were cut all over and bleeding and got up and picked up their skate boards. “We’re going
to take you out with our skateboards,” said Sena. “Crashing Star” said
Sailor Star as a huge yellow and orange star broke apart their skate
boards and caused them both to face plant. “Let’s finish these losers off,” said Sailor Earth to Sailor Parallel Moon. They both used their Gaia Rache and Mochi rabbit love attacks and destroyed Sena and Byron.

Before Momo and Chibiusa could thank them, they had already left. “Wow, I’m sure glad they showed up when they did,” said Momo. “Yeah, so am
I,” said Chibiusa.

The next day at school, Momo was back to her old self again. “Thank you
so much for spotting out those two. It appears that they were trying a similar scheme with other companies as well, but weren’t successful,”
said Momo. “Sure. That’s what friends are for,” said Chibiusa.
