Basically part two will be about Darien and Serena’s relationship.

Serena Havery is my name I am a normal fifteen-year-old girl. Although to some people I am considered Fat, my family and my only friend Lita say im not but its kind of hard being told it for you inter life by everyone else. I guess at first it didn’t really bug me and I ignored it but after a while maybe I started to believe it. I had gotten use to the fact that everyday at school the popular kids would torment me about my weight and also the fact that no one would ever ask me out on a date.

I was in grade 9 now and it was a normal Monday morning. I had gotten up early to get ready. I threw my hair up in a bun as usual and wore jeans and a shirt. I ran down stairs to see my mom. My mom was taking care of me all on her own my dad left me and my mom when I was about 4 apparently for a younger woman.

“Hey Sweetie”

“hi mom”

“I have to go Lita is here”

I went outside to see Lita was the best friend any girl could ask for although she was my one and only friend.

“Hey Lita”

“Hey Serena. We have math first”

“Aw. That is a huge bummer” she said.

We continued their walk to school. Of course when we arrived Beryl had been the first to torment me today. Beryl was the girl who was popular, rich, spoiled and beautiful. This girl had bugged me ever since elementary. I just let it all go past me it was just her opinion and nothing more. They where just comments to me but sometimes it hurt me more than I Wanted it to hurt.

“Oh Hey Serena” Beryl said

“Uh hi” I had no clue in the world why beryl was talking to me and frankly I didn’t like it.

“ I just wanted to say I think you look very. Fat. As usual” She laughed

Beryl walked up the school stairs and went inside. I wanted so much to hit her but I once again just let it do past me.

“Serena don’t listen to her she’s wrong” Lita said

I thought maybe she wasn’t wrong they wouldn’t call me fat if I wasn’t.

“Maybe she isn’t”

“SERENA!”

we headed to their first period class. While going into the classroom. I collided into a guy being the klutz I was it hadn’t come to a shock for me. This guy was Darien Shields; He was also one of the popular rich kids at their school. He was with his best friend Andrew. I fell to the ground after they bumped into each other and it really hurt.

“Oh im sorry” She said

“Oh its alright. Im Darien shields” he smiled

“Serena. Serena Harvey yea that’s me” She said nervously

“Serena I know you’re big but can you not bump in to my friends and me?”

That really hurt me when he said it but it was just one of those comments I told myself to ignore.

“im really sorry” She said and went to go sit with Lita.

Two rows in front Darien and Andrew where sitting down.
I could hear them chatting.

“Dare why where you being so nice to Serena?” Andrew asked

“No Reason.Im just not mean like you” He laughed.

After school that day I had to stay for math tutoring due to the fact the I was failing horrible. I was usually the only one there but today someone else was there.
It was Darien.

“Hi sir im sorry I late”

“Its alright miss. Harvey go have a seat beside Darien and we can begin the tutorials”

I went and sat down beside him as I was told and got ready for a boring tutorial.

When it was done I was still as clueless as I was when I first went in there.

“Do you want a ride home?” Darien asked

“Sure. If you don’t mind that is?”

“No not at all”

We walked to the car .It was a beautiful car it looked as if it was worth a lot of money. and it probably was seeing as Darien was rich. We got in the car and Darien began to drive.

“Darien can I ask you something?” I pondered

“Sure”

“Why are you being so nice to me?”

“I don’t know everyone else are just mean and you shouldn’t listen to them you know”

“Well they’re right”

“Serena don’t talk like that your very pretty girl”

I had never had any guy talk to me that nice. Especially not the hottest and most popular guy in the whole school.

“Thanks. I live on Presario lane”

“Oh alright”

He drove me home and then I left. It had been one of the best days in my life. She was totally happy.

The next day at school I saw Darien in the morning and smiled at him and he smiled back. I was starting to like this boy a great deal. The next day of school Darien asked me if she wanted to go out with him on Sunday and I said yes. I was so exited.

The week continued as usual, with the same people, same classes and most of all the same rude remarks about my weight. Although I had pretty much gotten use to it by now. When Sunday came I was thrilled. I got up at 6am and got ready. Darien picked me up around 1.When he rang the doorbell.

“Hey”

“Ready to go?”

“Uh huh”I nodded

“You look pretty Serena” he commented

“Thank you.”

The day went very well. WE went to the movies and saw I think I love my wife which was very funny and then they went to go eat. At the end of the date Darien dropped me off at my house. I couldn’t wait to tell Lita.I called her as soon as she got in.

“Lita its Serena”

“Oh hey”

“I just came back from a date!” she exclaimed

“With who give me details?”

“You wont believe me but Darien!”

“Omg!”

“I cant wait too hear all about it tomorrow”

“Alright bye”

“Bye”

The next say I was walking by when she spotted Darien and Andrew talking i decided to spy on them to hear what they where saying.

“So what did you do on Sunday dare?”

“ I went on a date”

“With who?”

“Serena.”

“You mean that fatty” he asked

“Yea”

“Why?” Andrew demanded

“I don’t know she’s just really fun to be around”

“Oh god you cant be falling for her”

“Im not im not”

“Darien if you do you know what will happen to her eh. All the girls will probably want to kill her. Not literally but you know what I mean”

“I know it’s a good thing im not then is it. She’s fat and ugly drew you couldn’t actually think I liked her did you” he chuckled.

When I was far enough away she said to her self. “Im going on I diet I don’t want to be fat” She cried.

I started her so-called diet. I didn’t eat breakfast and had a salad for lunch with out dressing and dinner. I no longer ate snack foods or any liquid besides water. I kept that diet for about a month. Within that whole month Darien and me hadn’t talked the whole time. I didn’t want to see him after a month I lost weight but not as much as I wanted to. Her friend Lita was very scared for me although I had no clue why. She thought I was over doing it. On a Thursday after school, which happened to be my birthday, they came to my house for my birthday celebration.

At the house they where getting ready to have dinner. my mom had made my favorite, Lasagna.

“Mom I don’t want any lasagna can I just have some salad”

“ Serena its your birthday forget about the diet”

“Mom! Please”

its not that I didn’t like it or was starving my self its just if I slipped just once I knew I would totally forget about the diet and I wanted to be thin.

my mom handed me the salad. My mom was so scared she didn’t like how strict I was being on this diet she ate her salad and when it was cake time I blew out my candels.And began to cut everyone a piece of cake except for me.

“Aren’t you having any Serena” Asked Lita

“Nah im not hungry”

“Come on Serena its your birthday cake”

“I said no why can’t anyone let me chose what I eat”

I didn’t get why they kept aggravating me about it . I had lost about 20 pounds from dieting within a month I just wanted to loose a couple more pounds just a couple more. As the days went by I started to eat less and less I just didn’t really feel in the mood to eat anymore and I would get full really quick. I would always come up with some lame excuse not to eat like. I ate too much at lunch, or I had a big breakfast or I don’t feel well but the one I used most often is that she didn’t have time because she hadn’t something to do. Lita and my mom were both worried sick about me, for why? I have no clue. I had now lost another 10 pounds and now weighed about 112, which was, and considering what I use to weigh I was thrilled because I weight a lot more. One day at lunchtime I was at school eating with Lita.

“Serena how are you wearing that sweat its like very hot”

“ I don’t know but im just right”

“if you say so. What are you eating for lunch?”

“Uhm water and salad”

Lita just sighed the had learnt over the part month that arguing with me wasn’t any good. I only ate about half my salad I was so full for some reason.

“Wow im full”

“Serena you only ate half of a salad .A small salad to be exact. What is wrong with you?”

“Nothing I just wanted to loose weight”

“Well you have and im not talking to you until you start eating again”

“But Lita-”

I couldn’t continue Lita had already left. For two whole days I didn’t eat anything after that and you could tell I was getting really skinny now. Even though it wasn’t enough for me. I remained not talking to Lita those two days and for those two days I didn’t eat much. It was Saturday morning and mom was taking me to the doctors she said it was just a check up when I arrived we waited and went in

“Hello miss. Harvey what is the problem today?” he asked my mom.

“its just I think Serena’s diet is just a little too serious” she said

“Mom! I thought this was just a check up” I shrieked

“Serena I think your mother is right” I was in utter shock.

“I want you to answer some questions for me so I know if you might have anorexia”

“uh huh” I jut nodded “are you hot or cold?”

“very cold” I said

he jotted this down.

“When was the last time you had your period?”

“Uhm ive missed it twice”

“And how much weight have you lost?”

“30 pounds I think”

“Serena I think you do have anorexia. You have all the signs and I will have to call the hospital they have a section for anorexia and bulimic patients you will have to take some school off and you could catch up on it all in the hospital”

“thank you” my mom said

We walked to the car in silence and the whole way there. I had nothing to say to her , her and that doctor was crazy I wasn’t anorexic I just lost some weight is all. I decided to start packing and to call lita.

“Hello this is lita”

“hey lita its Serena I went to see a doctor today”

“And?”

“They say I have anorexia” I began to cry.

“oh Serena its alright ill come over and help you pack and we can hang out”

“uh huh”

A little while after I was going down stairs to answer the phone that was ringing .

“Hello Harvey residents” I said

“Hello this is doctor Celeron ,I work in the hospital for anorexia patients and doctor. Prang called me about Serena Harvey do you know if I could speak to her please?”

“Uhm this is her”

“Oh hello Serena, my name is David Celeron and I will be working with you in the hospital and just wanted to let you know that you can come in tomorrow room 343 alright?”

“okay I have to go someone is at the door.”

“bye”

I hung up and went to answer the door it was Lita.When she came in she hugged me right away. We talked for a little while and then we went up stairs to pack my stuff. That night she slept over. I could barely sleep the whole night I was so nervous. In the morning I got up at 8 and got ready I was going to the hospital with lita and my mom. When I arrived we went to room 343.And there was doctor. Celeron and man was he hot!.

We took my bags and placed them in the room. I wanted to cry so badly but I couldn’t my mom was already crying and I didn’t want to upset her anymore.

“Bye mommy” I said

She hugged me

“you’ll be alright Serena you promise?”

“Ill be fine” I said with a fake smile

Then I hugged lita

“Ill miss you so much, you’re a great friend”

“So are you”

After that they left and I began to unpack my stuff. I laid down on my bed and began to cry
I didn’t want to be in this stupid hospital I wasn’t sick I wasn’t. I ended up crying to sleep and woke up the next day. When I woke up dr. Celeron was waiting on a chair for me to wake up and had to breakfast trays.

“hey I was waiting for you to get up” he said with a smile

“oh hi dr.celeron”

“oh no you can call me David”

“Alright David” I said

“You want some breakfast?” he asked

“Nah im not hungry”

“Serena listen to me your weight has dropped to 100 pounds you know that? Your too thin you need to eat your whole body could collapse”

“its just im tired of being called fat”

“ive looked at your records Serena and you where never fat but now your too skinny come on try eating for me”

“Alright Ill try.”

I took two bite of the scrambled eggs and a bite of the toast.

“David. I don’t know why but im full”

“Its because you haven’t eaten anything but each day you can try and try to eat more alright?Oh and before I forget after you eat a meal you might get bloated but don’t worry it will go down”

“Ok but you have to promise me something?”

“Okay depends what though?”

“Promise me you wont let me become fat again” “I promise. We have a young man working here to surv your lunches to you on weekends and even though you might not like it he has to watch you eat it.hea bout your age too so you never know. Good bye Serena”

“bye David” I smiled

Around lunchtime I heard a trolley coming.
When It finally reached my door to see who it was and you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.
It was none other then Darien Shields.

“Darien!” I exclaimed

“Serena! What are you doing here. You’ve lost so much weight”

“I know they say I have anorexia thanks too you”

“Thanks too me? What did I do?”

“Darien. I really liked you, you where the first boy who ever gave me a chance and then you called me fat and ugly and I guess I kind of took it hard”

“Serene you have to believe me I was falling for you too and I think I still am it was just I didn’t want anyone to know because I was scared that they would try to hurt you”

“Oh okay”

“Eat lunch with me today?”

“Sure” I smirked

He watched me eat and even though he hurt me so much I still liked him I liked him a lot. I ate a little bit of my lunch and chatted with Darien until it was time for him to leave.

“Goodbye Serena. I wont tell anyone I promise”

“Alright”

He was about to head out but didn’t he stopped and said

“Can I kiss you?”

“What!? Why?”

“Ive wanted to kiss you since our first date.”

“Uhm sure” I said blushingly.

He kissed me .My first kiss and it was the most amazing thing ever.
after that kiss I felt like I was in heaven.

For the rest of the school year I stayed in the hospital and I began to get healthy again. Darien came by everyday to visit me and we were officially dating now. Although it was hard because we swore not to tell anyone. I had spent 3 months in the hospital getting better and I was thrilled I would be able to go home soon. I had caught up on everything and would go to grade 10 next year the only thing that was wrong now was what would happen when I went back to school how would all those girls react, how would everyone react from me not being fat.
