1999 Lake Elsinore Gran Prix
Sorry, I wish I had more pictures from this, but it is run on a 7 mile couse, and I only have so many friends.
I started #135 out of 140. With all the two strokes, it was hard to see at the start.
I had just replaced the clutch, and when I started the bike on the line it got warm and started to creep.
I couldn't find neutral, so I had to shut it down and adjust the lever. Luckily it restarted on the first kick.
ME #135 and ROB #136 AT THE START
I also had brand spanking new tires, so I wasn't even trying to get the hole shot.
Still, when the guy on the "Monkey" bike stayed ahead of me for more than a few yards, I had to get agressive.
