(Editor's Note: This interview was done by Clair Money in email form. If you read in far enough, you can tell Josh is answering these questions)

How long have you guys been a group for? How did you meet each other?

we have been a group for about 5 years. i(josh) worked with jeff, the old guitar player, at the local club. he and scott had been in bands for years and ryan was in a band that jeff was in for a short time. justin lived 2 doors up from me growing up.

If you could go on tour with any 2 or 3 bands right now, who would they be?

one would be superdrag for sure. they are one of our favorite bands and they are just cool guys. southern boys like ourselves. i dont know. you never who you want to tour with until you get to know them. some bands click and others dont.

One of your songs was used on MTV's road rules, and not credited! Did MTV try to contact you or your label?

yeah we sent it to them for that. any band would have let them use their song for free. i think its pretty cool. now i can tell my friends that mtv plays our music.

Is there are new album in the works right now?

right now we are focusing on touring for this record that just came out in october. but we have some new stuff and i think we will get the ball rolling with that around may or so.

You guys are from Little Rock, Arkansas. What is the scene like there? How do people react to your music?

little rock is kinda weird. there are a lot of bands but only a few actually do anything. i guess its a hard town to get out of. people come out to shows though, there isnt much else goin on there.

What are you listening to right now?

james brown.

Who are some of your musical influences?

well i like the police, scott likes the replacements, ryan likes refused, and justin likes good charolette.

You are were recently on tour with The Reel Big Fish and The Starting Line. I understand that one of the busses recent caught on fire. Was everyone/everything ok?

yeah we were parked right beside them sleeping in our van. then all these guys start knocking on the van yelling "move your van its gonna catch on fire". we thought they were just messing around so scott yells back at them "fuck off. we aint movin!" then we pulled back the curtains and saw a roaring bus fire. so we moved. everyone was ok but they did lose some personal items. cell phones, back packs. shit like that.

You have a song that goes "and I know, not to take these everyday" What exactly, are 'these'?

well the song is called pill. its about how they have a pill for everything now. and how people just take pills like they are nothing.

When was your new album originally recorded?

yeah it was released as ashtray babyhead but we had some label issues. we ended up having to change our name and we all felt like the record was too good to just throw away.

Do you have any prior CD's?

yeah the first album was called orama.

What can you tell me about ashtray babyhead?

i think thats a crazy name. i like the kicks better. we are the same band though if thats what you mean.

What is XS records like? What are the other bands signed like?

xs is cool. they have some really good ideas. the other bands have a little darker sound than us. i think they have a couple christian bands but we arent. hail satan. we are definitely different than anything else they have.

You guys have a very radio friendly sound. Do you envision yourselves doing something bigger in the future?

yeah i hope so.  all we want to do is play music. so if radio can make that happen for us then we are all for it.
