Buck Wild "Full Metal Overdrive" (Lobster Records)

I’d like to say this is a good CD. I’d like to say how much I listen to it. But the fact is, this is simply punk with some more poppy sides to it, and for that, I don’t listen to it all that often. Along the lines of maybe the Vandals or even former labelmates Whippersnapper, Buck Wild doesn’t provide anything new, creative or different. There’s nothing wrong with that, but if I wanted some poppier punk I’m sure I could find something better than this release.
They actually resemble Blink 182 a lot musically, and even lyricly at times. The song “Don’t Touch Me” contains references to both shit and piss.
Well, if you like Blink 182 and bands along those lines (even ones not as mainstream), then Buck Wild maybe the perfect compliment to your collection. But not me. Not mine.
