Just when you think you have a band pegged, they go and turn on you. birddog actually sounds a great deal like another great band, the Beatles. And I will be the first to admit that I can't get enough of this CD. But just when you think it's going to be all clean cut and nice nice, they go and say "fuck" within the first song. Just to throw you for that loop, I suppose.
I'm going to go ahead and predict that birddog will be one of the biggest forces to be reckoned with in 2002, because this is one of the best CDs released in a very long time. They're definitely going onto my list of favorite bands.
This isn't on a big fancy label, so this CD won't cost you $15 or $16. So go do check into it.
