Perhaps you have not heard the new innovative force in indie rock. They are called the Atari Star and they are here to rock you.
Eleven tracks that are an indie rocker's dream come true. The songs are slower tempoed, melodic and overall just very mellow and soothing. The vocals sound a bit like Nerf Herder or something along those lines, but the use of different instruments throughout the CD (such as xylophone, piano, etc.) more than makes up for it.
It's really hard to exactly pinpoint this sound or specify it to any one genre. This is for fans of indie rock along the lines of the Warren Commission, the Benjamins, etc. and then even some more synth based rock like the Beans or the Secret Handshake. If you don't know who those bands are then what are you doing reading this to begin with? Go back to square one and start over.
If you're making a mixed taped, be sure to snag "Occasional Genius and Everyday Polite Terror". Or "Apologies in Advance". Either way, you'll open up someone's eyes to new music, just like I hope to open yours.
