Moot supers' show #2: Pavillion I missed the first show the soopers did at the pavillion, so I was pretty excited to see a full fledged live set, for the first time. I wasn't disappointed, and I don't think anyone in the crowd was either. Unfortunately there was no blood shed this time, but everything came together really well. The songs were pretty energetic and the audience was receptive. This could be because the band packed the pavillion with friends and fellow students- but I think that even people who went just because one of the band members harassed them, left with a greater appreciation for what the band does. Never having seeing them play a full live set before, I was impressed by the fact that the members are multitalented, and there was some rearranging and switching of instruments. The fact that they pulled this off well was equally impressive. Apprently, Johnny actually knows the words to "1970-1979"...although most of the audience missed his small vocal contribution. Will's singing was convincing. And as usual I would have to say "the 80s" was my favourite of the evening. If the Moot supers were to release a single, that would be it: it's a sure fire crowd pleaser. In any case, by the time the band had fully grabbed the attention of the room: the set was over...and a little too soon. I hope we'll be seeing another live show from them again, soon. moot soopers stage presence was pretty exciting, it added a lot to the show: they're not boring to watch, they seem to like to forget they're onstage when they play (Tristan's back to the audience for most of the show?). The set had an experimental feel to it. If for some reason you weren't enjoying the music, they at least piqued your curiosity enough that you felt compelled to stay and listen. -s franklin
