I had the unfortunate surprise this morning of finding out that a dear friend of mine had passed away on Jan 25th this year (2001).
We hadn't talked in a few weeks and i was really starting to miss him, but this normally happens as sometimes he'd be offline for several weeks at a time, that's why i never really gave it too much thought.
I'd always known he had Muscular Dystrophy and that he was in a wheelchair, but none of this had ever dampened his spirit and he was so lively, energetic, and above all, very bubbly. No matter what, he would without fail ALWAYS bring a smile to my face and make me chuckle.
He got very sick around christmas time last year and spent the last few weeks of his life in hospital being cared for Double Pneumonia, Pseudominus, and a Neumathorax. He died peacefully in his sleep leaving behind an adorable little boy (Brendan) and a caring ex-wife (Jo), he was 26.
I know he will be sorely missed by all those who's life he touched even in any brief encounter, we love you and we miss you Jason. At least you're at peace now and you can do all the things you've ever dreamed of and ever wanted to do.
Farewell Jason, you're always in our hearts and fondest memories
