lorelei was born with something called a 'congenital hip dislocation' which means that her hip ball and socket weren't fully formed due to an unusual position and not enough room in the womb..she was a BIIIIG baby (born 8lb 13oz).. she had to wear the brace 23 and a half hours a day for nearly 6 months (poor lil thing) which also meant that she didn't crawl for a looong time and she didn't start walking till late either..but she's all great now and i love her soooooo much!!!!
