Do You Remember?

Do you recall the day
The bridge collapsed
Could you tell me the time
When everything was sour

I know

When I was happy with nothing
I recall the time
That we stood in the emerald grass
And let the world work itself out
When I was happy with nothing

I can see it now
Once too late to intervene
Thunder clouds on the horizon
Lightning though our hearts
A storm brewing in the land once sacred
It was a frenzy
Maelstrom of wickedness
Permeating within every pore
When the last rose petal fell
There was nothing
No enchanted spell
Just one dead rose

One dead rose
Amidst a pile of petals
Both so elegant
One dead

Do you remember?
