Catharsis

I apologize
You must have forgotten by now
Or still remember
How my words stabbed through your innocence
How you cried
To your mother as shook in fear of the bully
How I hurt you
‘Cause I never just left it at words
How are you now
I ask as tears roll down my face
Did I kill your innocence
Will you hate me the next time you see me
The words I said
Can you hear them echo in your mind
The pain I dealt
Do you remember how much I made you want to run
I can see it
How I just glared at you and laughed
And now I cry
Wishing every thing I did undone
And harder I cry
Wanting, wishing, praying you hear my words
I apologize
