Autumn

Autumn comes
Warm winds suddenly blow away
Chilly nights
Begin to take the light of day
Water freezes
Soon just snow will fill the sky
Leaves will fall
Like tear drops flowing from my eyes

Now all the cold in the entire world
Hits me with its rage unfurled
Everybody just sits and stares
Nobody seems to even care
My insides are coming out
No one hears my tortured shout
I’m being shoved and stepped upon
They don’t notice this mask I don
Maybe some day they’ll hear my cries
Or see the tears inside my eyes
Someone will offer a helping hand
To help this tattered beaten man
Until that day, I’ll sit in doubt
As my insides are being ripped out
