After six hours of driving, I've now picked up and transfered eighteen babies from Fenella (of Wee Companions) to Rattie Ratz Rescue for further transport up north (as far as Spokane, Washington!), and.... *drumroll please*
brought home... *brrrummm ba-dummm...*
Schroedinger, Hilbert, and Gluon!
Schroedinger is by far the most outgoing and anxious to explore. Gluon is calmer and more affectionate. Hilbert is shy--he runs from me in the cage--but when I finally manage to catch him, he settles right down and lets me cuddle him and kiss his witto head.
They are so tiny! The three of them together are about the size of skunky, who is the smallest of my loaves! I can't wait until they grow up so I can hug 'em and squish 'em and kiss their bellies! In the meantime, though, what am I supposed to do with them? I haven't had babies in so long, I'm not even sure!
They are also ridiculously, ludicrously, illegally cute. I'm afraid the cuteness police are gonna crash through my door any second now...
These are the only pics I have that are not just blurry tails:

New piccies!
Can you see that they've grown a bit more confident over the past few weeks?
Gluon's snoot:

Gluon streeeeeeeetching:

Hilbert's impossible face:

Schroedy meeting the Two Stuffed Ones:

Gluon says, "Whooooooa! Who's that biiiiiiig duuuuuude?":

Flower says, "Who's that itty bitty little guy?":

Hilbert says, "I kinda like my big loafy unca!"

See more of the dumbo squirts!
See even more of the dumbo squirts!
See Gluon's days as a loner rat.
