Ryoko
A space pirate renowned for her streak of destruction. Hundreds of years after she was sealed on Earth, Tenchi accidentally frees her. Ryoko makes no secret her desires to get with Tenchi, but she needs to get through Ayeka first! Ryoko has many powers as well as a cute Cabbit (Usa-ko? Negi?) named Ryo-ohki that transforms into a space ship. Strategy: Ryoko relies mostly on maneuverability to keep her safe. Her stats are average, but her Teleporting and flying can move her anywhere on the screen in a moment's notice. Battle Plan: Ryoko is fairly weak in melee combat. If you can stick close to her, so she cannot teleport or fly, she has little defense against a constant attack. Combos: Similar Fighters: Cable, Hayato Stats: Power: 4 Energy*: 6 Defense: 5 Speed: 6 Ratio: 2 Special Moves: Gem Fire*: Throws a bolt of energy at the enemy. Kiyone
An officer of the Galaxy Police. Kiyone first lands on Earth searching for Mihoshi, her partner. After finding (to her horror) that Mihoshi survived her crashing landing, the pair is assigned to patrol the Terran sector. Strategy: The Galaxy Police obviously don't train their officers in the martial arts. Kiyone is weak in a fist fight. Her best tactic is using her ranged specials to keep the other fighters away from her. However, getting too far means half her moves are ineffective. Battle Plan: The best strategy is to get close and don't let her get out of attack range. However, distance fighting characters need to stay as far away as possible, due to the Cube, Garrote, and Yo-yo's half screen range. Combos: Similar Fighters: None Stats: Power: 3 Energy*: 7 Defense: 4 Speed: 6 Ratio: 2 Special Moves: Galaxy Pistol*: Kiyone fires an explosive shell at the enemy. (F) Space Cube*: Throws the control cube for her ship. Expands to contain the enemy. Laser Garrote*: Wraps an energy whip around the opponents neck (S) Yo-yo Slam: Air only. Throws her yo-yo weapon downward Missile Fire: 3 homing missiles fire from Kiyone's back Hyper Attacks: Forbidden Shell*: A beam blaster attack. 27 hits. Sasami
Sasami is the little sister of Ayeka, making her a princess of the planet of Jurai. She is the only member of the group who can cook. The fighter here is actually based on Pretty Sammi, a mini-series starring Sasami in a Sailor Moon parody. Strategy: Sasami is nearly worthless in close combat. Hand-to-hand fighting should only be used in a desperate situation. Her pretty archery skills are nearly Sasami's only line of defense. Use her for theme teams or for her Healing Bolt abilities. Battle Plan: Since she is so weak in close, do I need to tell you? Combos: Stats: Power: 2 Energy*: 5 Defense: 4 Speed: 4 Ratio: 1 Size: S Special Moves: Arrow of Love*: Draws back her bow and fires a arrow of holy energy. (A,downward)(H) Arrow Rain*: Shoots an arrow into the air, falls straight down at the enemy (H) Healing Bolt*: Assist only. Shoots an arrow into her ally, healing them. Guardian Assault: A Jurai guardian drops down, and then charges at the enemy. Hyper Attacks: Pretty Archery, Set Up*: Fires a storm of 17 arrows of love. Kagato
A space pirate of the highest caliber. Kagato seeks out Ryoko on Earth after she is awakened by Tenchi. When the evil criminal discovers he no longer controls Ryoko, he captures her, forcing Tenchi and the others to try to rescue her. In Tenchi TV, Kagato poses as the king of Jurai and orders the Galaxy Police to arrest Aeka and Sasami so he can seal his position as ruler of the universe. Strategy: Kagato relies mostly on his specials for victory. His normal moves are nothing special unless he is using the Dark Blade hyper. Use the beams and dark attacks to keep the enemy away. Combos: Similar Fighters: Magneto, Doctor Doom Stats: Power: 3 Energy*: 9 Defense: 5 Speed: 4 Strength: D,P Weakness: H Ratio: 2 Size: L Special Moves: Ripple Blast*: Fires a beam of tiny circles. Goes through enemies. Stuns(A,D) Dark Rift*: Waves his hand to create a large wave of dark energy (A,downward)(D) Gem Energy*: Uses his gems to raises the power of the target by +3. Assist only. Kagato Shadow: Creates a shadow of himself. Moves independently, cannot cause damage but enemy reacts to hits. Granite Morph: Grabs the enemy (T), turns them into stone and throws them back. Stuns the enemy Bonus Throw: Puts a light saber beam through the enemies body Bonus: Teleport, Shadow Slide, Flying Hyper Attacks: Jurai Storm*: A series of Dark Rifts. 18 hits total. Mihoshi
The blonde member of Tenchi's women. Mihoshi is a member of the elite Galaxy Police, but I think her entrance exam was lost. She is the biggest bungler among the group, causing nothing but problems for her fellow officers, especially Kiyone. After accidentally crash-landing on Earth, she lives with the Misakis until her ship is fixed. Strategy: Besides bad stats, Mihoshi also suffers from low combo ability as well as slow moves. Her specials are fairly powerful, but all have either long recovery or long start-up times. Combos: Similar Fighters: Cable, Megaman (Sort of on both) Stats: Power: 2 Energy*: 6 Defense: 3 Speed: 4 Ratio: 1 Size: M Special Moves: 6-shooter*: Fires 6 bullets out of her energy blaster. She cannot use it again without reloading. (S) Hyper Space*: Creates a portal in front of her. Incoming projectiles go in and come out behind the enemy Freezer Pellets*: Fires small chunks of ice out of her fingertips. Freezes the enemy on contact (W) Reload: Mihoshi takes a second or two to reload her 6-shooter. Basic Throw: Says something really stupid and makes the enemy fall over in disgust. Bonus Abilities: None Hyper Attacks: Space Police Battle Suit*: Mihoshi climbs into a large robotic suit. It shoots homing missiles, then falls apart. 10 hits Enter: A space ship crashes and Mihoshi climbs out of the wreckage. Taunt: Puts her hands on her cheeks and giggles. Victory: Jumps up and down, turning 90 degrees each jump, with no animation what-so-ever Top |
Yosho
Yosho is Tenchi's grandfather and also the Crown Prince of Jurai. Once an extremely powerful warrior, his years on Earth have eroded his powers somewhat. Yosho is always the first to confront the evil leader, but can never seem to finish the job, or really even try to, preferring to giving the battle to Tenchi. Yosho also wields the sword Tenchi. Strategy: Yosho works well as a middle ranged fighter. His attacks are quick, but speedy melee fighters are much quicker. Also, he has no long ranged attacks to fight from range. Combos: Similar Fighters: Hayato Stats: Power: 5 Energy*: 7 Defense: 6 Speed: 4 Ratio: 2 Size: M Special Moves: Heaven Slash*: A long ranged slash that cuts an arc in the air. Think Strider(A) Light Hawk Wings*: Calls forth the power of the Light Hawk to form a barrier that blocks projectiles Aerial Slash*: Jumps up, air dashes forward, and slashes downward at the enemy (A,no jump) Trick Throw: Throws his sword at the enemy. A hit leaves the enemy stunned (S) Call Tenchi: Calls his sword back to him after a throw. Useful on a miss. Dual Sword: Yosho can pick up other thrown light saber type weapons. Raises attack speed. Basic Throw: Pulls one of the enemy's arms upward and slashes at the hand. Destroys non-hyper enhancers. Bonus Abilities: Dodge, Air Dash Hyper Attacks: Heaven & Earth*: A forward moving series of sword slashes. Yosho has Hawk Wings for protection. 10 hits Defending Shell: 7 crystals appear around Yosho. They hurt anyone close. Up to 28 hits Jurian Ether: Starts with sword low, he sweeps it upward, sending a wave of energy up. 10 hits Enter: Sits and prays, energy surrounds him. Yosho then stands and draws Tenchi Taunt: Performs the Shinto handclap prayer thingy Victory: Sits down and starts to pound away on some sake. Top |
Ayeka
The princess of the Planet Jurai. This beautiful royal woman is nearly the end of her second millennium. Ayeka comes to Earth in search of her half-brother Yosho. What she finds instead is Ryoko, the enemy Yosho chased to Earth in the first place. Her ship is destroyed in the battle, stranding her on Earth. Ayeka commands two guardians, Kamedake and Azaka, as well as the formidable Jurain Power. Strategy: Ayeka suffers from low attack power. Her attacks rely on a middle ranged strategy. If the enemy gets too close, Ayeka's specials don't work well in melee range. Combos: Similar Fighters: Jill Stats: Power: 3 Energy*: 7 Defense: 4 Speed: 6 Ratio: 2 Size: M Special Moves: Tiger Punch*: Dashes forward with a fist glowing with energy (P)(A) Tiger Shot*: Ayeka forms a thin beam of energy in her hand and throws it at the enemy (P) Jurain Stun*: Assist only. Small pieces of wood appear around the enemy and hold the victim in place Gather Force: Allows Ayeka to charge her own vigor energy. Not useable with all grooves. Azaka: Calls her guardian from above, squashing the enemy. Nagi
A top-class bounty hunter. Nagi's latest target is none other than Ryoko. She wields a laser whip, and even has her own cabbit, Kenoki. Above all else, Nagi is searching the universe for a challenge of any kind. She even enters a beauty contest against Ryoko just to prove herself. Strategy: Another strong middle ranged fighter. With her whip attacks, there is no reason for Nagi to get extremely close to the enemy. In fact, the long start up of the whip makes it a bad idea to get close. Combos: Similar Fighters: Whip Stats: Power: 3 Energy*: 7 Defense: 4 Speed: 6 Ratio: 2 Size: M Special Moves: Laser Lash*: A long ranged strike with her whip. May be done twice in a row(S) Energy Wave*: Nagi shoots a wave of energy straight ahead (S)(A,down-forward) Choke Chain*: Assist only. Whips the whip straight out. (C) Nagi chokes the enemy. Hanger Slash: Whips the ceiling, flies up, then falls on the enemy with a whip slash (S) Basic Throw: Wraps the whip around the victim and pulls. 5 hits(S) Bonus Abilities: Air Dash, Wall Jump Hyper Attacks: Blast of Kenoki*: A field of energy appears in front of Nagi, firing blasts at three different heights. 30 hits (S) Energy Gasher: A hyper of Laser Lash that hits 12 times Coffin Hold: A coffin rises from below the enemy (C) the enemy is held in the coffin until an ally can break it.
