The Unique Football league has been in operation since the late 1960's. In its first year of existance it had only four members. In the years to come, it would grow to a capacity of twelve members. The league is basically for fun and does not offer a member the chance of winning a great deal of money. Members are asked to pick the winning teams in all NFL games that are taking place in that particular week. Also they are asked to pick a total score for the Monday night game, which acts as a tiebreaker.
The following are a list of rules governing the league:
* League membership is restricted to 12 members.
* New members must be nominated and seconded by current members, which leads to a vote by all members present. The vote must be unanimous for the new member to be accepted.
* Two meetings will be held each year - one at the Superbowl & the other over the summer. The league President will schedule the summer meeting.
* The cost of the league is $5.00 per week or a total of $105.00 to be paid in full at the Superbowl party.
* A win is worth $25.00.
* Picks need to be into either the secretary, or the league president by Thursday night. If there are Thursday games to be played, picks must be submitted on Wednesday night.
* The member with the fewest amount of games wrong at the end of the week is declared the winner.
* Any member who correctly picks the team and total score for the Monday night game will be awarded a half win.
