The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay

This game is absolutely amazing! At first I was somewhat skeptical to try a game which also carries a movie title but Chronicles of Riddick truly distinguishes itself from those other cheesy movie based games.

Now 'm not really pointing the blame in anyone particular but I'm getting rather tired of crappy games based on movies. The creators of these horrific games are trying to make a quick buck off box office movies. The Chronicles of Riddick is not at all like any of these games. It is literarily one of the best and most realistic xbox game I've ever played! 

The game starts you out as tough guy vin diesel better known as Riddick. You go through a very short training mission and wake up at a high level security prison (Butcher Bay). You are then assigned a cell and are free to roam around your sector of the prison. You can freely communicate with other inmates and do favors for them to make a little cash on the side. You can also fight with inmates and buy weapons off them.

Your prime objective is to escape from butcher bay, however you will encounter many other minor or major objectives along the way. You will also encounter some disappointments as the chronicles of Riddick may prove to be longer than you actually expected. This is not one of those run and gun type of game where you shoot anything and everything in sight. Infact there are very few missions where you are actually able to use a gun. The reason for this is because the guns have Special DNA codes where as only the security guards can use them, if you try to pick one up you will get an electric shock! 

The best feature about The Chronicles of Riddick is without a doubt the sheer realism of the game. For instance if you walk about to a security guard they wont just sit there and look at you, they will hit you with the back of their gun. Also, it shows the realism of the life of an inmate in a tough prison. As you walk around the prison you'll see inmates do things which actual inmates do in real prisons, like work out, conspire, fight, talk, do drug deals etc... You'll even see some inmates enjoying a good old lunch. Some inmates will be friendly and offer you things to do favors for them. While other inmates won't be so generous and may offer you a fist in the face!

The Chronicles of Riddick does indeed have a couple of frustrating parts but overall the game is fantastic. If this type of game interests you then I urgently suggest you rent or buy it! The chronicles of Riddick is honestly one of the best xbox games that I've ever played!
