MY EDUCATIONAL GOALS!!!!!
dDescription of Learners and Subject Matter: My website is aimed for students at the grade 1 level in math. This website acts as a resource for introducing how to tell time. Students can go on the website and find activities that deal with telling time. As well, teachers can come on the website and get useful information of ways to teach time to students with worksheets and lesson plans.
Prerequisites: For students to use this curriculum web they must have some previous knowledge of how to use a computer. This website has many links so they have to understand how to go back and forth from the links on the internet to the website itself.
Learning Objectives: The learning objectives I have for students who visit this website is to get a general knowledge of how to tell time. Hopefully by visiting this website they will be able to visit links that will make them enjoy telling time. Through the many games and activities they will see time as a fun thing to learn. After all they are going to be telling time for the rest of their lives. The more fun it is to learn, the quicker the kids will learn.
Aims: The aim of this website is to teach students how to tell time. Hopefully by tellign time through this website they will enjoy it and have fun with it Their are various links to games and activities in which they can spend hours on.
Purpose: The purpose of this website is for students at the grade 1 math level to learn how to tell time through the activities and games.
Rationale: This website is beneficial to students at the grade 1 level because at that age they should be well on their way of learning to tell time. Through this website they will be able to learn how to tell time while having fun with it at the same time.
Description of Instructual Plan: On this website there is an activities page with a couple of activities for students to go to in order to practice telling time. In the first activity (telling time) students have to listen to the time that is being told and then pick the right answer. This is a basic activity that gears them up for dealing with an actual clock. Also in the teacher's site there are links in which teachers can go to and browse for games that they would like their children to play in class. Also on the teacher's site there are links to lesson plans in which they can check out for teaching telling time and making it fun.
