Cloud, the main character is a quite mercerinary who is hired by the Avalanche rebel group. He is a strong person who doesn't remember his childhood and at one point in the game he believes that he was created by scientists. As you play the game you find out more about his past and so does he. At the end of the game he is less of a loner and but he doesn't change much. He is 21 and is one of the teams best fighters because you are forced to put him in every fight possible.
