Cid is a great astronaut who has been trying to get Shinra to give him a space ship to go into space. Cid is a great fighter who curses a lot and he has a good reason for it. A long time ago he was going to go into space but his partner was checking something and she would die if he blasted off she would die so he aborted the mission and gave up his lifelong dream to save her. He has a lance that he puts to good use by crushing enemies with it.
