Hello, and welcome to the booth for Sonic Ultimate New Beginings. The new beginings does not mean that it is a sequel in any sense. At one time it got completely erased, so I made a new begining on it. Added that for the significance of the experience. Onto, the game. The story is that Eggman has found a Chaos Emerald, and has used it's power to alter the land to confuse Sonic. This is implemented in game as random levels. Now he's searching for the other 6 to destroy Sonic and rule the world. There are going to be a ton of secrets in game and accesable from other sources. Including a link up between Sonic Ultimate and a future fan game by a buddy of mine Sonic Guy called Sonic Generations both built off of the same engine. The amount of secrets will be rivaled only by the different versions of each level and the way they are played.
As for game play, it is as simple as Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Your basic jumping, rolling, and platforming attributes with a few little twists in there. A few new moves would incluce wall jumping, and a few that are planned and are nowhere near being implemented. There are 2 acts of the first level mountain hill zone showed in the demo, and one hidden level. Before you even think about playing read the read me to get a clue on how to play. Without doing that you'll get stuck fast.
