Kain and The Pillars

For this I used a promotional painting of the Pillars' landscape for the background, one promotional pic of Kain from Blood Omen 1 blended in that background on the right, a pic of Kain on his ruined Balance Pillar throne from Soul Reaver 1's beginning on the bottom right (which was blurred at the top and "pulled" at the bottom using some of the rendering tools), Kain at the edge of the Abyss, also from Soul Reaver 1, at the bottom center (blended at the bottom the same way and individually painted in the crevices between his arm and body and leg, body, and the ground to match the painting background), Kain from Blood Omen 1 in the background left from after he was impaled by the Iron Sword he then carries in the game and before his features were changed by becoming a Vampire. (Not dwelling on it too much, but all of these signature pics and such were hampered, as are my painting abilities, by the fact I only have a mouse to use. I have no light pen and tablet, unfortunately, so especially cutting out anything like for these compellations takes a good deal more time then it should and is hard to get as right as I'd like.) Kain impaled there I used a lighting effect to make him blend more with the background and to have a slight lighted outline that looks as if he might be more suited to the background lighting, instead of the fiery pit he was actually in regarding the pic that was cut from. The last image of Kain at the bottom left was a promotional render of Kain from Legacy of Kain: Defiance. All of these pics have to be changed in lighting and color to match the rest as best as possible. The background was split down the center between the light side on the left (pre-corruption of the Pillars) and the darker side on the right (representing the fall of the Pillars) and I used the texture in the very center to convey crumbling, destruction, and the warping of all of Nosgoth that represented. Lastly added was the text, which was played around a lot for look, color, and of course, placement. It seems to work well.
