Entry - GAME Entrant - tr!ple ---------------- Song:- 16/20 EDIT - 9/10 I like the way this edit incorporates so many different sections of the song into one bitesize portion - the slow intro, the beat drop and build-up through the verse and the explosive chorus. Once again, the length was perfect. A great edit. SUITABILITY - 7/10 Not as instantly catchy as other Ayumi songs, and probably not as danceable either. Steps:- 53/60 BEGINNER (see Extras/Penalties section below) LIGHT - 17/20 By far the best part of this stepset is the chorus - the arrows match the music perfectly, and there is a great use of simple jumps to break the steady stream of 4ths. The final 4 measures are very odd, and I can't really figure out why you used those exact offbeat patterns. Bit unsure about the use of 8ths in a 3 footer, but on the other hand I wouldn't make this a 4 footer either! STANDARD - 19/20 Simply put, this is a stunning Standard stepset. Unlike the Light steps, the offbeat 8ths all match the music and flow well, while the gradual build-up in stream during the chorus is very well-executed. The intro section is superb, and the final cluster of offbeat notes are spot-on and give the player one final challenge to overcome. HEAVY - 17/20 I loved the intro section; every single note is spot-on. The following guitar section is also excellent, with great use of freeze arrows. The proceeding offbeat passage and chorus don't work as well as in the Standard steps, but the chorus does provide an interesting new challenge. The final cluster of 8ths towards the end seem a bit rushed and don't flow as well as in Standard, but this is still a very solid stepset. CHALLENGE (see Extras/Penalties section below) Graphics:- 13/15 Both the banner and BG have a very industrial feel to them, which mirrors the atmosphere of the song. Text is easy to read, and everything looks very polished. The CD-title is good, and the choice of AVI animations is very good, with the most effective being Bubble1 at the start, and Blackhole1 after the chorus. Tilt:- 4/5 The song didn't get me very excited initially, but this is one of the very few DWIs where the excellent steps and extras actually made the song more appealing to me! A very professional entry and best in the bracket! Extras/Penalties:- 15 AVI Animations - absolutely superb, especially the use of Blackhole1; matches the music perfectly! - 9 Lyrics - 2 BEGINNER Steps - The intro is great and gives the impression of a build-up to something. The freezes in some parts were probably a bit much for a 1 footer, but apart from that, good job! - 1 CHALLENGE Steps - Great to see you didn't overdo these steps. Some sections were actually better than their Heavy equivalents (e.g. straight after the BPM change and the 2nd half of the chorus) The weakest part was the verse, which seemed a bit off. - 3 TOTAL - 16 + 53 + 13 + 4 + 15 = 101
