Search and Rescue has become much more efficient and less risky for the ones atempting the mission. With the help of Robotics people can find and dismantle bombs in buildings without ever steping inside the hazard.

The Picture above is a robot named "Packbot" was the first autonomous robot that would put a whole new meaning in rescue. One of these robots can be made up of several components such as; cameras, microphones, sonar, infrared sensors, inclinometers, laser scanners, and micro-impulse radar.

The durability and versatility of this robot allowed it to help police officers, fire fighters, and paramedics in many of their missions. These robots can withstand situations that no human could ever go into.
