Welcome to my Site

This site will be giving various reviews for several different game systems and games.

Metal Gear Solid(PC&PSX): In this game, you play as Solid Snake. This game is pretty much based on 1 HUGE level. You travel around this level while picking up awesome weapons such as remote controlled missles, more than 2 different kinds of grenades, and many different guns. Anyway, this game is pretty much a game based on sneaking around. If you make a wrong noise then the terrorists will come for you. You can make a deliberate noise such as banging your gun against a wall when a terrorist is near. This technique is either used to distract the terrorist so you can go another direction or you can use it to kill the terrorist faster. The terrorists will also follow your footprints in the snow and several cameras, traps, and alarms are set up around the level so you really need to be careful. You think that sounds good? Well, the major downfall of the game is the cut-scenes. The cut-scenes are awesome and can be very helpful but they're WAY too many of them. The whole game seems like you run around, kill some people and go to another cut-scene. Anyway, the rating for this game is 6/10.

Quake I, II, and III(All systems): I'm not a big fan of 1st person shooters but this game is AWESOME. If you're playing on the computer then you can hook this up to a server and play people from all around the world. If you're playing on another system and you don't get to play people from around the world the game is still just as fun. The game consists of you and many other people running around in futuristic levels while blowing each other up with big guns. Sound easy enough? Well it's not. As a matter of fact, this game is quite hard to get used to but it's still great. This game also has various modes including Death Match and Capture the Flag. This game gets a rating of 9/10!

Fear Effect(PSX): This game is pretty cool at the start but gets quite boring later on. The version I'm talking about right now is the 1st game for PSX which has 4 CD's. You play as one person in the beggining and switch at different times to other people throughout the game. Each person has a pre-set of weapons which pretty much suck. You can get Uzi's and Assault Rifles but that rarely happens. The game has Cell Shaded characters and a 3D Enviroment which is extremely un-realistic. I advise you not to get this game. It's based on Resident Evil but RE is MUCH better. This game gets a rating of 3/10.

Unreal Tournament(XBOX): This game is the brother to Quake. It has the same gameplay, has alot of big guns and you run around and shoot people in futuristic enviroments. One major difference(thanks to the XBOX) are the enviroments. If you play this game, one of the first things you will notice is the extreme detail in the enviroments. There is nothing much else to say about this game. Anyway, this game gets a rating of 9/10.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(N64): For N64, this game has wonderful graphics. If you liked any of the other zelda games then buy this game. This game isn't a sky view like game boy. It's a 3rd person game. In the game, you play as none other then Link. You're trying to save Princess Zelda. You use the Ocarina of Time which Zelda gives you to time travel 7 years. You fight your way against many enemies and obstacles in temples and other places. This game is so interractive too. You can ride horses, go fishing, dive off of a waterfall, sell stuff, talk to anyone you see, and much much more. So, If you like a game with an extremely hard challenge or if you liked the other zelda games, PLEASE pick this title up. This game gets a rating of 9/10.

Rainbow Six: Covert Ops(PC): If you like any other Tom Clancey games then you will like this one. This game is pretty much like the other Rainbow Six games. If you have never played any then this information will give you a heads up on this game and other versions. In Rainbow Six, you assemble a team of men. Kind of like a SWAT team. Then you pick your Primary Weapon(Machine Gun, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun), a Secondary Weapon which are the pistols, you pick your uniform and you pick 2 items such as grenades, heartbeat sensor, magazines, etc...After picking your items, you go to the mission. In the mission, you can control your guy, or all of the team by giving special commands. What's cool about Covert Ops is the fact that you can make your own mission or play online against people from all around the world. In the game, they're many weapons to choose from. Too many to list. Anyway, buy the game and kill the terrorists. This game gets a rating of 8/10.

Gran Turismo 1(PSX): This is a racing game which is fun and surprisingly addictive. It got so addictive for myself that it wore out the X button on my PSX controller because the X button in GT is used for almost everything. In the game, you...well you race. But before you race, you have to earn your license by taking a driving test. That's the feature that sets this game apart from other racing games. But no worries, the test to get the Novice license is pretty easy with a little bit of practice. After you earn your license, you buy a car with the default money they provide you in the game. Now comes the fun part. You race against the computer with the car you bought and depending on your ranking at the conclusion of the race, you might earn some money. With the money, you can buy a new car or trick out your current car. The game, believe it or not, also has a car wash. I don't think the car wash does you any good. It's just for "decoration" I guess. This game also features Multi-Player mode which all racing games do. One of the things that surprised me most in this game is the fact that when you hit a metal wall at 150 M.P.H, the car doesn't have a scratch. Well, other than that unrealism, this game is pretty realistic and fun to play. This game gets a rating of 6/10.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone(PSX): I rented this game once and found out that it was a pretty good game. So, in the end, I got it as a present from a family member. In the game, you play as Harry Potter(of course) and you get to explore Hogwarts. You have to complete challenges and tasks to earn you house points. You get to go to the classes to learn spells and for learning a spell, you also receive house points. The game, at the beggining is quite easy but in the middle of the game, it gets to be a good challenge. Also in the game, are hidden secrets. For whoever is familiar with any of the Harry Potter books, you will know about Berttie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. In the game, you collect different color beans. You have to get a certain amount of the 4 different color beans(blue, red, yellow, and green). Once you have the beans collected, you give them to Fred and George Weasley and they will give you passwords to different portraits. Behind the 4 hidden portraits are secret items. To find out these items, pick up a copy of HP&the Sorcerer's Stone. In the game, you can also play the famous wizarding game of Quidditch. This game gets a rating of 8/10.

Shadow Warrior(PC): Shadow Warrior is a 1st person shooter and it's a good game. In the game, you play as Lo Wang, who is sort of a Samurai! You fight alot of different enemies and in some parts of the game, you can drive vehicles. The weapons you can get are:

  • Uzis
  • Riot Gun
  • Shurikens(Ninja Stars)
  • Sword
  • Your fists
  • a Heart
  • a Rail Gun
  • A Severed Head that shoots fireballs
  • Sticky Grenades
  • Missle Launcher
  • Grenade Launcher
Now, the Heart weapon. This weapon sends put a ghost of you and the ghost will kill enemies for a short period of time. The Riot Gun is kind of like a shot gun with 4 barrels. The Missle Launcher is...well it's a missle launcher but with 3 options. Those options are:
  • Normal Mode
  • Heat Seeking Mode
  • Nuke Mode
The Nuke mode is a 1-time deal until you pick up another Nuke pack. The Nuke feature can pretty much clear out 1 room in one shot! Now, the sticky grenades are pretty self explanitory. It's a grenade with spikes and you can stick it on a wall or on an enemy and they will eventually blow up. The ones on the wall will blow up when someone gets close to it so stay far away. Well, this game gets a rating of 7/10. *CHEATS*
  • God Mode: tswchan
  • Walk through walls: tswghost
  • Have everything: tswgimme
These cheats are typed in the middle of the game. The letter t signals that text is being entered!

Rush 2-Extreme Racing(N64): This is another racing game that is really fun. This game is sort of like Need for Speed but In my opinion, Rush 2 is better. In the game, you pick between a wide selection of cars. You can change the color, the stripes, the tires, the tire rims, the enging, and even the way the horn sounds. After selecting your car, you choose a track to race on. They're realistic tracks that are based on real cities and states. Then they're futuristic tracks such as the Half pipe, Crash Course, and Stunt Course. Although the cities are real, the ramps of course are not. They're many secret areas in the cities and ALOT of ramps. These ramps will launch you 100's of feet into the air and depending on how you hit the ramp will determine how many flips and rolls you do. After winning a few races, you unlock new cars. Now for the stunt course, this course is so wild. It has a HUGE Quarter pipe and Half pipe. It has 2 different floors. It has a ramp which is followed by a spike pit that you have to clear. It also has a football type field that you can ramp over or out of. And it has many other ramps. This game also has a Multi-Player Mode. This game gets a rating of 8/10!

Medal of Honor(PSX): I never really liked army games until I came across this game. In the game, you're fighting in World War 2(i think), it could be World War 1. Anyway, you're fighting against armies of Nazi's. This game offers a nice variety of weapons including:

  • Bazooka
  • Grenade
  • Rifle
  • Sniper Rifle
  • Different types of machine guns
  • Pistols
  • and more...
At the beggining of each level, the computer gives a default set of weapons and you can pick more up throughout the missions. One of the cool things about this game is the fact that they have several under-cover missions where you walk around in a Nazi Uniform and you have Nazi ID Papers. These missions are quite hard. Other then the under-cover missions, they're still many more challenges. This game isn't a game where you can beat it in a day unless you play it for 24 hrs straight. Even then it'll be hard to beat. If Multi-Player is something you like then this game has Multi-Player. This game gets a rating of 9/10.

ATV-Offroad Fury(PS2): This was the very first PS2 game I played. The game called ATV: Quad Power Racing for PSX was terrible. Since that was a bad game, I was sceptical about this game. It turns out that this game is very good. In the game, you can do training mode which trains you in techniques for your ATV. Then you can do the races. The races you win will help you unlock better ATV's. That is pretty much the basis of this game. There is also a mode where you can just drive around. This is fun because you don't have to stay on the track. This game gets a rating of 9/10.

Luigi's Mansion(GameCube): This game was one of the first games out on GameCube. It's pretty wierd considering your main weapon in the game is a vacuum. Although you have an odd weapon, this game is pretty good. They're plenty of secrets, it has good graphics, and it's a challenging game due to all the puzzles you have to solve. If you have liked Mario games then pick this one up. This game gets a rating of 8/10.

WWF-Smackdown 2(PSX): This is one of my favorite wrestling games. I still like WWF: No Mercy(N64) better. For those of you who have played the first Smackdown and Wrestlemani 2000 for N64, the major difference you can tell is the Create-a-Wrestler options. The first Smackdown offered no good options for Create-a-Wrestler. Now, Smackdown 2 has almost every option in Create-a-Wrestler as Wrestlemania 2000 does. Also, not only does Smackdown 2 have Create-a-Wrestler, it also has Create a Pay-Per-View, Create a Stable(Team), Create a Manager, and Create a Taunt! Smackdown 2 has ALOT of matches to choose from. These are:

  • Hell in the Cell
  • Cage
  • Table
  • TLC
  • King of the Ring
  • Royal Rumble
  • Slobber Knocker
  • Hardcore
  • Tag
  • Anywhere Fall
  • I Quit
  • Handicap
  • Special Referee
  • Ladder
  • Casket
  • and MORE
Well, this game has alot of stuff. For those of you who don't know, TLC stands for Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. One downside to this game is some of the camera angles and major unrealism. What I mean is, When you hit your opponent in the face with a chair, sometimes they fall over, most of the time they don't, and when they do fall, they get back up within 2 seconds. The same thing goes with Hell in the Cell. You can chokeslam the opponent through the top of the cage but then when you drop down to the ring, you won't be able to get the 3-count on them. Well, this game gets a rating of 7/10.*NOTE: In the game, supposibly you can smack the opponent's head against the announcer's table. If anyone knows how to do this then please E-mail me.(E-mail at bottom of page)

Tenchu-Stealth Assassins(PSX): When I first got my playstation, this was the first game I picked up. The graphixs aren't the best but gameplay is really fun. In Tenchu, you can choose between a male or female assassin. You travel around Japan and take out enemies. You can either take out the enemy face to face or you can sneak up behind them a perform a 1-hit kill. This game is a little bloody. Once you get used to the easy controls, you can dominate this game. The game is sometimes easy but gets very hard at some parts. Depending on who you pick as a character, the cut-scenes will be different! This game gets a rating of 8/10.
(The game has much better graphics than the screenshot. The Screenshot is bad quality because the picture was blown up)

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2(PSX): The thing that draws most people into buying this game is the Create a Park option that lets you make your own skatepark. In Create a Park, you can add bowls, rails, benches, picnic tables, spike pits, stairs, kicker ramps and more. Then their is also the option of create a skater. This is fun to create a skater. This feature lets you change pretty much anything about your custom skater right down to his age and hometown! Now for the main game. This is just like the other THPS game. You go into Career Mode, find hidden tapes, and complete objectives to earn new stuff. One of the newest features about this game is the Gap Checklist. They put this in the game because if you get all of the gaps in the game(not including Chopper Drop Hawaii or Skate Heaven) then you unlock the secret character of Private Carerra. Other secret characters to unlock are Spider-Man, Officer Dick, and Tony Hawk's Style C mode which turns him into the 1980's version of Tony. Other than these features, the game has the basic stuff like Free Skate and Single Session. Extras in the game are videos you unlock and a Matt Hoffman BMX demo! This game gets a rating of 9/10.(Sorry, screenshot is from PC version of THPS2 but it's still the same!)

Rayman 2(N64): This game isn't such a bad game. I had my dougts when I got it but it turned out fairly good. In the game, you're Rayman. A wierd animal type thing with no arms, neck, or legs. All he has is a stomach, hands, head, and feet. Anyway, it has been a long time since I have played the game so this review is by memory. In the game, you're fighting against an evil pirate in a flying ship. Well, that's pretty much the basis of the game. You walk around different levels where you can climb, swim, bounce on trampoline type plants, swing, and you can shoot energy balls. During the game, you can gain power ups for your energy balls. Oh yeah, one of the funnest things in the game is the Water Skis. It's a level where you are on skis which are strapped to a loch ness monster(kind of) and you get to ski around. This is extremely hard though. There is also another fun level where you get to ride a rocket.(See screenshot). These are only 2 of the awesome levels in this game. Well, If you're looking for a cool 3D game with great challenges, then pick up Rayman. This game gets a rating of 8/10.(Sorry for the poor review)

1080 Snowboarding(N64): This was the second game that I got for my N64. I was surprised at how good it was. I still like Coolboarders better. In 1080, you have a few choices. You can do races, you can do multiplayer, you can do trick courses which include half-pipe, and big air, and you can do some training modes. In the game, you can choose from about 5 or 6 people not including the unlocked characters. You can race on alot of courses. All of the courses are fairly challenging and extremely fun. There is even one course at the end where you can jump off of a frozen waterfall(that's one big drop!) This game is pretty fun and doing 1080's are hard but once you get used to the controls then they're easy. This game gets a rating of 7/10.

Turok-Dinosaur Hunter(N64): The last game I reviewed was my 2nd game for my N64. This review, is based on the 1st game I had ever gotten for N64. This game is a little bit like Quake&Unreal Tournament but it does not have Multi-Player. The Turok games that do have multiplayer are the versions 2 and higher. Now, although this doesn't have Multi-Player, it's still a fun game. In the game, you're a guy who runs around with BIG guns and shoots deer, men, and of course...dinosaurs. Now, the game is extremely hard so it'll take you a long while to beat it without any codes. Get codes and the game will be beaten in 10 minutes. That's no fun though. After you beat the game, the credits will give you some codes but not all so...After the review is a list of websites to get codes. Anyway, I would tell you alot more but I don't really remember the game so well. This game gets a rating of 7/10. CODES:

Halo(X-Box): This was the first game I have ever played on X-Box. The rumors about the game being very good are true. This game is a Multi-Player shooting game where you can run around in highly detailed enviroments and collect futuristic weapons. This game is kind of like Quake and Unreal Tournament but in my opinion, it's much better! In the game, you choose between several futuristic characters. Then, you begin the game and go find some weapons. You can also drive different vehicles which will usually have weapons on as well. They're so many weapons and so much game-play that this isn't one of those games where you play and throw aside for a few years. This game will keep you playing because it's so fun. This game, gets a rating of 9/10!
