17c Fixing Nullified Rules If a rule has been nullified as a result of rule 17a or 17b, any player may propose a solution that fixes that rule. This shall be known as a Rule Fix. A Rule Fix may be proposed in addition to any other proposal that ey have suggested in that p-week. Upon proposing the fix, the rule is immediately voted on by players. A quorum in the case of these rule fixes is deemed to be half (rounded down) plus one of the players who do not have the title 'sillyman'. Once a quorate number of votes has been cast, the proposal either comes into effect immediately, or fails, and is discarded. If a quorate number of votes is not achieved in one week, then the Rule Fix fails and is discarded. A player that successfully proposes and passes a Rule Fix is deemed to have done a service to the nomic, and is therefore awarded 5 beppo. They do not recieve any other benefit. & Ammendment to Rule 8 Relevant parts read, "During the p-week, all players may submit up to one proposal to be voted on the following p-week (the corresponding v-week)." and "Ey may not have more than one proposal submitted at a time at the end of any p-week." I propose ammending these to, "During the p-week, all players may submit up to one proposal to be voted on the following p-week (the corresponding v-week), as well as any number of rule fixes as per rule 17c" and "Ey may not have more than one proposal submitted at a time at the end of any p-week (except for rule fixes as per rule 17c)." & Addition to Rule 9 A proposal may also be a rule fix (see rule 17c). |
