Q&A with Team Captain Steve Ralston...

Q: What are your thought about the chances of the Revs getting into the playoffs?

A: I feel that we have a tremendous team right now and as each game goes,we are building and building and we must be building towards somewhere,so the "ship" is where we're headed and there's no doubt in my mind

Q: Who do you feel has been the biggest influence of leadership on the team so far, other than yourself obviously? Any unknown players stand out directly this year?

A: Oh yeah, there are alot of those "unknown" players out there that have stepped up this year, for instance rookie Matt Lampitt (CMF) has stepped up in some big games and has really proved to us that he is for real and that kid has got some amazing shots and is highly dependable. I think we have the best center midfielders in the game with Clint (Dempsey) and Matt, they're almost the same age and both have the exact same style of play; while Demps leads in experience, Lampitt leads in his thirst for knowledge.

Q: Now you're tied with Taylor Twellman in assists at 4, how do you feel about being an assist-leader rather than the goalscorer you used to be? Is this a sign of the captain winding down a bit?

A: Yes, I've started to wind down and I'm really looking forward to seeing who will take my place, I'd rather have more assist than goals though to be honest; that's the best I can do with my right foot and if it hits Taylor or Pat (Noonan) then I'll be just fine.

Q: Thanks for your time and good luck with the upcoming game versus D.C United.

  A: Thanks for having me.
