The Distant Spring
The Distant Spring is the most dangerous place on the Pikmin's world you've been to so far. You'll meet new species of bulborbs called bulbears (like the ones from the Forest of Hope, they come in spotty and dwarf) and other new enemies such as the Puffy Blowhog and the Yellow Wollywog. Oh, and I almost forgot! Protect your Blue Pikmin. They will come in real handy in the waters of the Distant Spring.
Rocket Part #1: REPAIR-TYPE BOLT Near the Yellow Onion is a low cliff. Throw at least 20 Blues up onto it then call them back. Make sure that the short wall on the cliff is in between you and your Pikmin before calling them back so they can't get back to you. Lead them up the path behind the cliff then use the C Stick to direct them to the part, which is at the end of the path.
Rocket Part #2: INTERSTELLAR RADIO One of those purple, floating, Puffy Blowhogs has swallowed this part. This particular one is located deep in the water. To defeat it, lead a lot of blues into the water where it floats and where some Water Dumples swim in the water below. Have your Pikmin defeat these water creatures so they don't get in your way, then take on the Puffy Blowhog. Unlike the blowhogs in the Forest Navel, you can use any color of Pikmin to defeat these. Throw your blues onto it. It will either use its attack (blowing air that will send your Pikmin flying away) or try to keep it's distance. If you can attach enough Pikmin onto it, it will fall to the ground (or, in this case, the water). Have your Pikmin swarm around if it does. When you defeat it, it will deflate and the part and maybe some pellets will appear.
Rocket Part #3: GLUON DRIVE The Dolphin and the Onions are in a waterside field that contains a Puffy Blowhog and some Spotty Bulbears. Defeat the Bulbears the same way you defeated the Bulborbs in the Forest of Hope. You know how to defeat the Blowhog. On the other side of the field to find a bombable rock wall. Ignore this for now. Pass it and go into the water and defeat the Yellow Wollywog. You might notice that there is some rolled-up sticks next to where you got into the water. Have any color of Pikmin hit the sticks to make a bridge. But it only goes halfway across the water (sniff, sniff :) jk) take some blues through the water to the giant tree that has the part, some rolled-up wood that will complete the bridge, and some Shearwigs. You can defat the Shearwigs easly by throwing a Pikmin at them while they're flying. Complete the bridge and grab the part.
Rocket Part #4: MASSAGE MACHINE First defeat the Yellow Wollywog that guards the peninsula south of the landing site. If you go to the other end of the peninsula you will see that on the other side of the water is a beach that contains a Spotty Bulbear, dinosaur skulls that have bomb-rocks next to them, a blue candypop bud, the Massage Machine, and (the most important thing right after the part) some rolled-up sticks. Take blues to this beach and have them make a bridge with the sticks. Some shearwigs guard the stickpile, so defeat them first. Once they're out of your way and the bridge is complete, have 30 blues carry the part. Don't worry about the Bulbear. Your Pikmin will take the part around it. Remember this: if your 30 days is almost up, don't bother getting this. You see, there are 5 parts you don't need to get to complete the game. They are: Nova Blaster, Space Float, Massage Machine, UV Lamp, and Secret Safe.
Rocket Part #5: ZIRCONIUM ROTOR Go across the field you went across to get the Gluon Drive. Now it's time to pay attention to the bombable rock wall. Grab bomb-rocks from the skull next to the wall. If that's not enough to break the wall, go back to the vicinity of the Massage Machine. You read that there's some there. Now take some blues to the other side and into the water. You will find there's a white gate. After your Pikmin break it down, take them beyond it to where the Zirconium Rotor is.
Rocket Part #6: UV LAMP The UV Lamp is beyond a bombable black wall near the Blue Onion, high on top a pedestal in a maze-like area. Yep, this is a job for Yellow Pikmin. First defeat the bulbears and Puffy Blowhog beyond the wall, then laed at least 15 yellows up the path and through the maze (be careful they don't fall off!) and when you get to the high pedestal stand a short distance away from it and throw yellow up to it.
Rocket Part #7: PILOT'S SEAT Since you've already destroyed the bombable wall to get the Zirconium Rotor, your search for the Pilot's Seat will be very straightforward. While your searching, just keep in mind that Swooping Snitchbugs, creatures that grab Pikmin, a Puffy Blowhog, and a Yellow Wollywog patrol this part of the Distant Spring. Near where the white gate that lead to Rocket Part #5 is a brow gate. Have your Pikmin destroy it, then go into the hollowed tree stump nearby to find the part.
Rocket Part #8: CHRONOS REACTOR In the water near where you found the Pilot's Seat is a raised island with a yellow candypop bud on it. Throw 20 blues into it so they get replanted as yellows. Pick them, then throw them all onto the beach near this island. Throw your Pikmin onto the part's high perch, then when they've got it on the beach, call them then throw them into the blue candypop bud so they can carry it across the water.
Rocket Part #9: BOWSPRIT Lead at least 65 reds to the skull near the wall you bombed to get the Zirconium Rotor. There may be some dwarf bulbears next to it. Defeat them so they don't get in your way. Have most of your Pkmin turn the twig pilinto a stick then have at least 1 Pikmin activate the geyser near the skull. Use th geyser to reunitewih your Pikmin, Then avoid he flame jets and turn the rolled-up syicks into a bridge. Go down it the break the white gate. Once that's done, go up the bridge then turn left to confront another Armored Canon Beetle. Read our "The Forest of Hope" section to find out how to defeat it. When it's gone, the part will appear.
Rocket Part #10: #2 IONIUM JET Near where you found the Chronos Reactor is a small area. Lead blues up this area then throw them across a pit to the part.
